Got all the plowing done and 3/4 of discing before work got in the way. Hope to be planted by next weekend. Still can't find Egyptian wheat to plant..ugh.

Nope no hen I could see them both quiet well. They looked really old my best guess is they just knew. They wanted my hen decoy to come then as opposed to then going to it. That's my theory anyway

If possible slowly get up an walk away calling. Makes em think the hen is going the other way. Its worked for me in the past. Either that or switch to soft calling or get quiet altogether. Both have worked for me as well.

Guys are just being responsible gun owners.... if Cuomo ever says "nobody needs more than 3 shells to kill a turkey"... they can say, "yes we do",lol

Pretty quiet again this morning. Had the woods to myself yesterday. Today there were a couple other hunters around - not one shot or gobble. Heard one bird purring nearby twice and it shut up. Only thing I started calling in was another hunter walking on the woods road below me - sounded like a pot call, so I went quiet. After he stopped for a couple minutes, I let loose a loud bad crow call in his direction to shoo him off. He got the picture. Here is a picture of the bird I saw yesterday:

Not for nothing all these cops talk about how dangerous theor job is and thats why they should make what they do and be able to retire after 25 years then when it all unfolds its a huge shocker. I feel bad for the cops but isnt that what they signed up for crazy bad guys breaking the law.
