  1. You might be ok during bow but during gun there are multiple trucks parked there at all times..........
  2. I personally have never shot a big buck or even seen any when it is warm during the rut. I do not waste my time during those days anymore. I put it in neutral till weather changes.
  3. It is very unwelcome and very deflating. i lost my balls knocking on doors along time ago. As for the farmers----- There is not a single farmer I know that does not shoot every deer on his farm under spotlight........
  4. That deer is at least 3.5. Look at his head.
  5. If your getting pictures that is great. I would be bummed if I was not getting pictures. As soon as that first chick gets a little stinky they will be around in the daylight.......
  6. chill, it has not even started yet............
  7. Anything could have did that. I have watched decent size bucks annihilate trees in like 3 minutes. You would have thought a pope and young deer would have done it and it was not even close.
  8. It is way to early to say what the weather is gonna be like.............
  9. Friend of mine had same thing happen with same senerio and called DEC. Now the DEC guy comes in the woods every morning at 7;30 am and every afternoon at 5pm looking for the guy screwing up my friends hunt.
  10. Leave a note. He will leave---------- trust me, do not tell landowner or call DEC you may ruin it for yourself. It is was your land then it is a different story.
  11. I friggin hear ya. I lost a spot last year that i shot 2 mature bucks and the best part is i did not see any other hunters there. You show me a place in westchester county where you never see a single hunter on the property you were hunting or the sanctuary it bordered. It was a friends house and they sold it in sept.........
  12. What I meant was they do not want to hear the " he said she said" BS. Once you get asked to leave it is over and almost not worth it anyway. Once you are hunting a spot that you do not feel comfortable with landowner and you feel like your on borrowed time it is not enjoyable anyway.
  13. They do not want to hear the BS. Time to move on. I have lost so many places in westchester county to other hunters, I have offered up to 1k to people in that county just to park in there driveway and they look at you like your crazy. I have offered 100 $ to park in driveways in dutchess county and people look at your nuts the other way, they think they are stealing from you. Different ball game in westhcester. omaha steaks and a case of beer will get you no where.......
  14. Tell them if there gonna hunt your gonna hunt too. Trust me they alot more to lose by getting in trouble than you do..
  15. There are some giant bucks over there.............
  16. That looks more like a cheetah than a bobcat. Bobcat ???
  17. If my wife gave me any problems with hunting it would be over. I know people that there wives give them such a hard time they gave it up and now there miserable and the only fun they have is they took up golfing once a week on a sat when you have to wait 15 minutes at every hole. Life is way to short............
  18. Lazy. Then your not doing it right. Do you know how much energy and time it takes to carry 400Lbs of corn and sweetfeed a half of mile??????????????
  19. Well said, I had the same problem. Get the megaphone out and and start walking the property at first light. Put up cameras and any trespassers post there pictures all over the trees. Trust me it is worth ruining some days for yourself but will help in the long run............
  20. I think it is regional. There is only 2 DEC officers covering our area believe me when I tell you they do not even care about the trespassing complaints. Another thing that sucked was we spent almost 3 days properly posting the property and by the 2nd week in gun season half the signs were ripped down. I found one oldtimer on opening day and when I told him to get out his response was " I have been hunting in these woods for over 40 yrs just try and keep me off" So i had to resort to putting cameras and alarm clocks on my own property to discourage hunters to get the f--k out. Walking through on opening day with spotlights and megaphones. That seems to be the only thing that works. When you say " I am calling the cops": they pretty much laugh at you........
  21. They are all gonna suck. I think the jets future looks brighter though and I am a giants fan.
  22. I dont no who is gonna suck worse this year. Jets or giants?
  23. No it will not. It will never hold up in court. The officer will tell the landowner to post the property. Trust me , we have had issues for years with people tresspassing. They rip the signs down, it is a loophole. Finally I have put up cameras and gotten pictures of people tresspassing and put the pictures all over the trees. That with me walking through the woods with a megaphone has finally stopped some of the trespassing. The cops would come take the complaint and would not even walk in the woods. The DEC would not even show up for trespassing, They could give a rats ass. When you are dealing with 100s of acres you have to be hands on................
  24. Good post. To any of you that think your gonna throw a pile of corn out and your gonna tame those mature bucks to come in and your actually gonna kill a big buck over bait is that easy think again. It is not that easy and believe me there is also methods to it just like any other hunting method. You could kill every 1.5 year old buck in the area just by throwing a pile of feed and hunting over it but that does not work for the big boys.....
