That is the thing it is not great and it is not exclusive. You never know where a big buck is gonna be from year to year but this is not exactly bordering vassar farm where you have a chance to shoot a big buck every year........

I have a lady up the street in dutchess county lagrangeville area that wants $800 per hunter for 20 acres. I told her she was out of her mind.

If somebody is worried they can not shoot a buck with 3 points on one side then they are clueless and do not belong in the friggin woods.........

Lack of doe permits has squat to do with it. The younger generation does not go in the woods. Im 40 and barely any of my friends hunt and you keep going down the line and it is worse and worse. Now the oldtimers are retiring from woods, Alot of people are working 6 days a week and put it all together.

It is his property and he could do what ever he wants with it. It is not even that big of deal. Do you have any idea how many places we had that went to sh-- because the neighbor put up a deer fence.

Just driving around you could tell numbers of hunters are way down. There use to be trucks all over the side of road now you barely see them. My father said that in 1985 there were 40 people hunting on opening day at gun club and this year there were only 7..........

People are not hunting like they use to. In another ten years there will be barely anybody in the woods.

The weather has been horrible everyday. W ether it is warm, rain or wind

If I am hunting the next day I will def drag them off and gut them somewhere else just because you might have a dozen coyotes in there all night long. That will make some deer alert.......

Nothing is gonna change because of a few gun hunters are annoyed that they do not get first crack at a deer. The seasons have been like this long before I could remember or was even born. If you want first crack at the deer then pick up a bow. If you think for one second they would actually implement gun season any earlier ( which is to early and to long, just look at other states) it would turn to many people offand risk thousands of bowhunters not even buy a license......

Well said. My father said when I was a kid, start shooting a bow if you want more time in the woods and that is what I did. The season has been like that for a long time. If you want to spend more time in the woods then pick up a bow and stop crying.......

I am hearing alot of wishful thinking around, people brainwashing themselves thinking the rut does not change when the weather is warm. Yes deer still rut(it is usually at dark anyway) but when it is this warm during the daytime your generally not gonna see much activity. When it is this warm, the deer do not eat that much and when they do not have to eat they do not have to move and even if a doe is hot she is probably gonna lay down in this warm weather and the buck will just lay near her and wait for her to get up. There is not gonna be endless chasing in 70 degree weather.

I was shooting the montec g5s the last few years and i made some pretty good shots and the deer just would not die and some went a long way. Even the butcher commented cause he could not believe the deer went that far. I am switching this year to rage.

oh yea, I have 2 that i will not go near until around the 10th of nov and i have 2 that i will not go near until around the 5th of nov.

When we were kids we use to shoot our bows straight up in air to see how high they would go and 1 time a little mazda came around the corner. The arrow stuck right in the middle of the roof. we took off like a bat out of hell..........
