  1. My oldest son thinks that because the Subi has all wheel drive that I should be able to drive it through the fields like he does with his Big Chevy Truck . If the body wasn't so close to the ground , I probably could .
  2. I bet that they probably fired one of the engineers at Subaru . To remove the oil filter on my 2009 Subaru was impossible without a special tool so I always took it in to have the oil changed . On my 2015 Forester the oil filter is in the front of the engine compartment and stares you right in the face when you pop the hood . Makes it so easy to change the filter so it must be an engineering screw-up !
  3. I have a 2015 Forester . I previously had a 2009 Forester . The 2009 had a Tongue weight capacity of 225# The 2015 has a tongue weight capacity of 175#
  4. What is or was the deadline to get doe tags if someone was to apply for her Senior Lifetime license ? I have been bugging my SIL to get hers but she has been dragging her butt . She can get it for $65 and has 67+ acres .
  5. I went to Geneseo today and put up another stand . I tried putting up a Monster chain-on last week but it was too heavy so I took a ladder stand with me today . Getting kinda old to be doing this .
  6. I had a cable break on a chain-on . I removed the other cable and replaced both sides with chain .
  7. I keep mine in a large plastic tote with a Fresh Earth Wafer inside .
  8. I bought one of the camo 3 legged stools today for $7.99 . I had bought a similar one last year at Field & Stream for $15 . When we go to a Time Share , etc , I always GOOGLE Aldi to see where the closest one is located .
  9. The fawn at the beginning of the pics was laying down , got up , and laid back down . I had several other pics of deer farther away that would be near my double ladder stand . Even if I don't get a shot I enjoy seeing the wild life .
  10. Daytime coyote - some Turkeys , etc
  11. Pics from Sept 13 card pull . This camera has been up for over 5 years . The Big buck in the pictures seems to show up nightly .
  12. According to the letter sent with the Report Log , there were only 3805 participants in 2017 that sent in a report . Suffolx & Westchester ------------ 127 Northern Zone ---------------------- 247 Southern Zone --------------------- 3431
  13. I found a little info on the rifle when I GOOGLED it . Would like to know how to disassemble it . It has a thumb safety similar to a Mossberg but won't budge . I wouldn't want to buy it , go through a FFL person and then have to pay a gunsmith to repair it .
  14. Does anyone own a Parker-Ballard 22 semi auto 22 with a 5 shot magazine ? I have an opportunity but need some information on it .
  15. I did some work in the woods at my SILs property yesterday . Tried to put up a Monster hang on stand and couldn't get the job done . I was whipped and at one point walking back to where I was parked , my FitBit registered 114 heart beat . When I hunt that woods , I am going to take the ATV . I didn't get to be 76 by being too stupid .

  17. This should cover it ............. Discharge of Firearms, Crossbows and Bows For information on where various legal implements may be used in the state, see Rifle, Shotgun, Crossbow and Bow Areas. It is illegal to discharge a firearm, bow or crossbow: so that the load or arrow passes over any part of a public highway, within 500 feet (for a firearm), 250 feet (for a crossbow) or 150 feet (for a bow) of any school, playground, or an occupied factory or church, within 500 feet (for a firearm), 250 feet (for a crossbow) or 150 feet (for a bow) of a dwelling, farm building or structure in occupation or use unless you own it, lease it, are an immediate member of the family, an employee, or "have the owner's consent." You may hunt waterfowl with a firearm or bow, over water, within 500 feet of a dwelling or public structure as long as neither are within 500 feet (for a firearm) or 150 feet (for a bow) in the direction you are shooting. You may not hunt waterfowl with a crossbow.
  18. I use the Non Ethanol from Fastrac . It costs 40 cents more a gallon but it's worth it .
  19. I don't wear gloves while bow hunting . Come to think of it , I don't wear them while gun hunting either . I have a nice pair of Scent Lock gloves somewhere in the house that I havn't used in years . No idea where they are .
  20. It's right at the top of this forum . How did you miss it ? j/k ..... I found it in General Hunting and moved it to this forum .
  21. When I had a hub blind on top of my 6 foot high platform , I put . a funnel in a hose and had the hose run to the ground . Didn't have to leave the blind and didn't use a bottle . If I hunt from a ground blind I use a pee bottle . Not about to get out of the blind nor pee inside .
