Congrats to the young lady and Pa !

My wife and I went to Yellowstone about ten years ago and we asked a park ranger who planted all those little pine trees ? Well if anyone remembers Yellowstone had a major forest fire twenty some odd years ago and mother nature planted all those little pine trees and the wildlife doubled over time because the old dense forest burned down ! I believe in the past in the Daks they used to let fires burn ..... did they have it right back then ?

This was my first Crossbow season and it was a success ! 6 Pointer ! This is definitely a banner year for me . Doe with the compound another first , 2 weeks later Buck with the crossbow - a first and 8 Pointer opening day of gun !

Where I hunt (either 4H or 4B ) there are no AR's thankfully . But what I have seen over the years is a big drop in hunters ! This year a took a 6 pointer with the crossbow and an 8 pointer with the gun , believe me I'm not bragging ! A good hunting buddy of my said that we usually never see any decent bucks where we hunt on my property (4H) and he thinks I took all the bucks . Well in order to retrieve my 8 pointer I had to drive around to the other side of my property and ask the Farmer for permission to cross his field which was a closer drag for me , on the way driving over we noticed two spikey's just standing near the road . Neither area (4H or 4B) is an AR area but I would also attribute bigger bucks to less hunters !

They sure do change up the woods for you ! Years ago I had a bear on one of my cams , never saw him during gun season ... 4H !

I bought whatever type was on sale at Loews maybe 8 years ago ... I split 2 maybe 3 cord a year change the oil every year and it runs like a top , 27 ton ! $ 1250.00

Nothing ..... got lucky at 7 am and scored an 8 pointer !
