I have weekends off at work so that's when I'm hunting !

Same thing happened to me on active duty years ago , but with an M16 ! Sure does bleed alot ! At least she's still smiling like some said before !

I've always found that any property with water on it is usually more attractive to wildlife ! Be it a pond , stream or lake ! Everything alive needs water !

Years ago I thought it would be a great idea to weld a piece of angle iron onto a lag bolt ..... 2 years later screw in steps came out ! DUHHH on my behalf !

Might sound dumb .... but does that mean two tags ?

Just finished a Venison Backstrap and small Venison Steak-n-onions from my first bow kill yesterday and a bowl of Chicken Tortellini Soup !

After scoring my first Bow Kill today I took the Wife to Panera Bread ..... sorry no pics but you get the idea !

So I was going down to my property to hang a Trail Cam and one of the guys at work yesterday said if your going down there might just as well bring your bow .... you never know ! Well I'm not a true bow hunter , yes I have a compound bow and a crossbow ( just bought it last year for the heckuvit ) so I brought the compound bow . I decided to go sit in my ladder stand for about an hour and just relax , I put an arrow in and let it rest . About half an hour later I hear rustling to my left and its a small Doe . Well I've never shot anything with a bow so I decided to let one fly . Below is the results .... hunting 40 plus years and this is my first bow kill ! And this is in 4H where its tough as hell to get a DMP !

I finished off a Deer that was shot in the front leg . I heard the shot and it was from across the highway ! Luckily it was an eight pointer and do not consider it a Tag Sacrificed ! Never met the original shooter .

And THATS the reason to Hunt ! Looks Great !

Mowed 2 acres and burned a ton of leaves yesterday .... smoked out the neighborhood !

40 plus years of hunting , leave it at that !

Probably hit the lawn this weekend ... hopefully last time for the season !
