Another School Shooting
Culvercreek hunt club replied to Elmo's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Best care in the world? Yes. access and affordability is the issue. A large part of it is legal fees and suits as well as the red tape they run into bringing new products and procedures to the market. I see the main issue as, the vast majority of our representation is from the legal field and have no interest in reforming that portion of our system. They are also very very fond of red tape and more regulations to justify their existence. -

Really? Seems many come here for procedures. May be the most expensive but very very far from the worst. -

Best cartridge for hunting North America

I got it twice. 12 ga slug gun both times. Nice scar tissue. Hard to believe that the little thin patch of tissue between you eyes could have that many blood vessels in it. -

The top end on the bullet weights are not available in a 270. and it may actually be easier to find '06 ammo compared to .22LR...LOL -

Should have put my glasses on ...lol. Thanks. I was hoping it set apart the incidents that started on the streets and progressed into areas like school ground. They make it sound like there were that many "Sandyhook" style shootings. There weren't -

Getting To Be A Common Sight
Culvercreek hunt club replied to Cabin Fever's topic in General Chit Chat
I have watched it happen. I think a big contributing factor is the new fawns not wanting to cross the roads. I have seen a doe stand on the yellow line and the fawn taking one step with its foot like it was testing the water temp of a pool. It would start, then back up, then attempt again. Mom just stood there watching. it took a good 5 minutes before the fawn got up the never to cross. -
where are you guys buying supplies for the blanks and guides?

Depends on the size of the bear, Usually based on a per foot price, the one I had done was from tip of nose to tip of tail. Could be anywhere from 150-250 a foot depending on options. Open mouth is an adder. premium quilted backer can be an adder.

Culvercreek hunt club replied to bubba's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
even the titles of the laws are crafted to elicit a certain response to them totally aside from the content. This is evident in polls and when talking to people. After all who could be against the "affordable care act", the "safe act" or the "compassionate care act". The focus on the uninformed and basically they count on the electorate to be lazy. They get their wish in that regard. -

It is a no drama group and they won't allow any in -
Understanding NY crossbow law
Culvercreek hunt club replied to tughillmcd's topic in CrossBow Hunting
I would think so. but I remember seeing in the DEC comments that 8C (which is archery only) will not be opened to crossbows. Their is an area around Albany too I think. Maybe they are trying to increment some of the changes. Might be a bit much in some of those areas with addition of crossbow and then the relaxing of setback distances from 500' (with standard archery being 150 and crossbows at 250)
