I have had my gun checked numerous times. Get a plug. I lost mine and made one from a hardwood dowel. works great and very cheap. A word of caution with some older pumps. I had an Eastfield. the supplied plug would only allow 2 rounds in the mag is they were 3 " if you had a pocket full of 2 3/4" shells you could squeeze in 3. Test you gun if you plan on carying 2-3/4" shells. On the boat question. Actually just shutting off the motor is not enough. in order to shoot all momentum must stop after the motor is turned off. If you are still under motion from it running it is a no no A++++ on duck identification. Comparing what you have in your hand to a picture in the book doesn't work too good...lol

play around on Google earth too Dom. it wont show contours but the timeline can give multi season views. The property I hunt at hom actually shows the deer trails in the fields. there is an elevation functino to show the elevations of where your cursor is. It is a great scouting tool and probably would work best with a topo map.

I don't know. I took kind of a gamble because I was worried about the pricing being too good to be true.. It is an animal though. the price on it is liek getting a #12 elsewhere. My neighbor is going to ose it for gringinf tomatoes and applesauce just because of the size of the throat.

The controversy is all about the "common base" of the G2&3's. What I don't like about the mount is the orientation of the ears. They aren't rotated the same. i am sure they can do that naturally but I would like them both at alert.

Handheld Seed Spreaders
Culvercreek hunt club replied to orion's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
This is what I use. it has a variable opening so it handles all seed and fertilizer sizes. http://www.agway.com/catalog/home_and_garden/wheelbarrows_carts_spreaders/handheld_spreaders/10207922_agway_shoulder_spreader.html -
Did he say why no classes after October 1st? That doesn't even make sense.

If that Seanymph is a M or a FM model....they are very nice and very stable boats. I was in some pretty touchy waters with mine.

Update on deer crossing...
Culvercreek hunt club replied to WNYBuckHunter's topic in General Chit Chat
I am installing one of those signs on every one of my stands ladders. -
I had a 14M deep V with console and controls. gear and depth finder. 2 batteries and a 9.9 for those two lakes. The 8 will be fine. Especially if the price is right. Even the 10 with 2 guys and gear won't get you up on plane. it is a plowing ride across the lake. plus...and a big plus....the 8 will me better on gas and if you plan on trolling to the great trout in those lakes the 8 will do much better.

KOA campground at the Herkimer DIamond Mines. Pool. right on the West Canada Creek (one of the most underrated trout streams in the state) There are cabins to rent as well as trailer and tent sites. You can cross the street and dig for Herkimer Diamonds. (kids love this) There are golf courses within a 1/2 hour drive (nice but not the greatest) It is on Route 28 between Middleville and Herkimer. I grew up in that area. http://www.herkimerdiamond.com/ http://koa.com/content/campgrounds/herkimer/sitemap/32224sitemap237d6457-78a9-4d35-a057-073690427e50.pdf

It would be expensive to own( the whole multiple rounds of fire from one trigger pull so it is under the special registration with ATF) as well as shoot...but on a cool factor chart of 1-10....I gotta give it a 9 -

60@ 55 grains = almost 1/2 a pound as opposed to 1/2 an ounce in 338. if I had the choice of a bolt 338 or this....I think I would take this. -

Join the NY Crossbow Coalition!

Let me ask, and I am serious. Looking at your stance on the mineral block in the other thread, you seem to take the approach there that a person should just worry about what they are doing and not others. Your approach here is different. The change would not mean YOU would have to change anything you were doing. the choice would be up to the individual. Do you see anything inconsistent in your two positions? If tradition and the need to spend a lot of time honing skills for a hunt is the true measure and should be the measure of a hunters ethics and how well they view hunting laws.....why do you carry a centerfire rifle in the gun season. wouldn't a flint lock or at least a precussion cap ML be more of a reflection of your overall hunting stance? That firearm would take more hours to perfect and you would have to practice more with it. Since you don't only use one of them in gun season does that mean you are less ethical in gun season that you are in bow? Does it mean your veiw of game laws in gun are less than they are during bow or less than a hunter that does use a ML in gun season? Do you se my point? Holding a tool in your hands that utilizes technology and "makes it easier" doesn't turn people into blathering unethical law breakers. -
then throw into the equation the variance in the plot itself. weather effects on the tonnage and such. a plot of a fixed size could have triple the tonnage from one year to the next based on factors you can not predict.

that visual will keep me up tonight.

illinois has a split season. I think it sandwiches their short gun season. Did you read the comments. sounded like a lot of other forums. Would love to see at least some middle ground on the issue. For my I really like hunting the rut with my bow. I bet if a split was considered the preference would be for x bows in the first half...but then thee will be the too much traffic argument before regular bow. I searched for other Illinois articles. seems to have been a pretty even split from comments to them. probably about like here.

My point of view is't about me. I guess you better humor me and explain this in more detail how my point of view isn't about me. Since I did criticise mainly his reaction to being told his actions wer not legal and you used the pronoun "you" in your response to my quote, In my reponse I would not post a positive comment about an illegal activity or an activity that I didn't feel was proper. I also was trying to illustrate that since you don't seem to have a problem with it and dont beleive it is right to point out illegal activity in the open that we were probably brought up differently. For the record I don't have an issue calling anyone to task when I see them doing something wrong. I don't smoke anymore but even when I did I would point out to smokers that they were in a non smoking area. I have called the police when people wouldn't listen to reason and got behind the wheel of a car after drinking too. I have said it before. I am not perfect and have not followed every rule. I am very bad on the cell phone thing. I probably have $500 in ear peices and they all suck. My daughter has seen me as well as my wife and When they call me on it my reaction isn't F_ _ K off like the Op was. I apologize and try to avoid it. Doesn't work though. I think in hunting we we ot to police our own and in that process let others now we are watching. We differ in our views. You want harmony, I want everyone to do it by the book and if you don't like it....change the book. I don't have a problem if someone wants to start a petition to make baiting legal. I will sign it...first in line. but until then . No. I don't care about harmony.I
