  1. I thought John owned MySpace ? Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  2. I wouldn't say it's the best, but I'm very satisfied with my ghost 410. Nice trigger, super fast, can easily group to 80+ (furthest I care to shoot). I got it for about half retail, other than that I prob would have went with something else if I had to pay the 1000+ msrp. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  3. Always wondered what it would feel like to squash someone's grape with my super loggers. Lol Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  4. Just hung 2 with fresh batteries. Have one more to put out on a different piece. Strictly for "inventory" purposes and to watch for when the boys start dropping bones. Will check weekly. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  5. Or, get your bow cert and stay local.... I may know of a spot or two.... Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  6. Nothing more encouraging than scoring a new piece after seeing action there. Good luck this weekend !!! The first hunt always seems to be your best opportunity Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  7. Find what works. As long as YOU are comfortable and can land well placed shots, run with it. Practice what you think you need to improve on. Not saying its what you do, but hitting the bench for 5 rounds before season will not help your offhand game. As far as the whole LOP, I have 2 different limbsaver pads that slip on and off all my hunting guns in a second. One is big one is med. Once I switch my gear to late season stuff I start running the medium. If you change your LOP and don't practice with it that will also effect your accuracy. So, bundle your ass up and go chootin....lol. Seriously though. Bigger coats Vs a tee shirt your basically shooting a whole new gun. The only thing you familiar with is the optics as your hold on the trigger could be changed as well as lop Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  8. Both my mutts love this crap. My jack had her head buried in the snow trying to locate a mouse last night. The beag was racing around in the field this afternoon. I was watching from the comforts of the garage thinking to myself, man if I was out walking around and the snow was up to my genitalia and there was negative temps.... no thanks. I'll pee on the floor, go ahead and yell at me all you want !!! Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  9. Well, my .o2 is you first have to have some practice off hand. Always want the butt firm in your shoulder especially if it's a heavy kicker. Me personally, although it's been a few seasons without an offhand shot is i always pull up with both eyes open, get on my "place" as fast as possible (shoulder), take a deep breath in while doing this and once I'm solid on my mark, slow exhale while pulling the trigger. I found that if I slowly exhale it made me want to slowly pull the trigger. As far as for you, you have to be comfortable. Sometimes having the correct LOP on your gun can drastically increase accuracy offhand. I'm taller and always put a butt pad on of some sort to get a more comfortable hold Vs me feeling like I'm holding a child's gun. You have to see what feels best for you ! As far as what I think you should do on stand... Get a monopod shooting stick. The trigger sticks are badass and can be adjusted quickly to accommodate most shots. One thing I will also recommend if you do explore the stick option is to have it hanging on a hook, or secured to stand. That odd chance you have to get up or turn to shoot you don't want to have to hang stick back up, or have it fall from your stand while you have one coming in. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  10. I can't speak from a ton of experience in other brands, but I've owned a few Mathews and 2 elites. Elite is an awesome bow all around. For the money it's tough to beat especially warranty. Shoot a bunch and see what fits you best. The new option 7 is pretty slick Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  11. Not today. Holding off for predator slam next weekend. I wanna leave my spots alone till then Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  12. That's some funny stuff right there !! Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  13. Now that's a trophy !!! Big thumbs up !! Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  14. I got new pants.... Also known as a cannon safe Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  15. I thought those things were my in-laws.... Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  16. I hide my wife's in the stove...... Sorry. I had to ! All seriousness though, she treats me better than I deserve and still hasn't left me after 10 hunting seasons of oct-oct (deer-yotes-crows-sheds-turkey-chucks-fishing season and back to deer). Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  17. Gifts to self are always the right thing to do. It's the thought that counts !!! Currently bidding on a new chartplotter for the boat... From treeguy To treeguy Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  18. Blue tongue, black foot. It's all the same Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  19. Merry Christmas !! Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  20. Typically you will hear the "whizz" of a bullet when it's heading by you. Especially a slug. Heard it twice. The second time it happened was in a giant area of thick redbrush, literally I hit the deck and "made ready" or in other words, got ready to shoot back. Thankfully I didn't have to. I won't soon forget how that conversation went when I finally crossed paths with the guy, and his dad, and about 8 other guys in their party. Looking back, I probably said some things I shouldn't have but I think I made my point. Another regret is that I was alone at the time and the only one who set his gun down. Good old seeing RED issue I have. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  21. Careful, they say the water down there will turn New Yorkers feet black..... Oh wait, it seems your already infected !! Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  22. Top priority is the kids and they got all kinds of stuff ! They have a way of taking the Grinch out of me.... Bought myself a sweet reversible scentblocker snow/realtree suit for Yotes and crows. Wife got me a couple nice okuma reels and a gopro 6 so hopefully if I figure this editing thing out you all will be enjoying some treeguy action on some crows, turkeys, coyotes, deer and even musky and the mighty king salmon !! Dang thing didn't come with a memory card so ill have to wait for best buy to open. Merry Christmas to all !! Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  23. I'll be honest, I was a sheep on this one. Did some reading... I always find it interesting when FACTS are hard to find ! Lots of opinions and no real fact other than a statewide slaughter to "stop" the spread. Things that make you go hmmm Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  24. I've heard the biggest issue with feeding is the threat of cwd. I can bet that it's better to let a few deer die to a hard winter than losing a giant part of the herd to cwd. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  25. Surprised you would shoot a crow without using the meat.... Don't like to eat crow..??! Anyways. Def stake down anything you have or it will get dragged away. Also throw a cam over the bait. I don't think you will be able to successfully pattern a specific time but you will get some cool pics. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
