Got it and thanks a whole bunch!

So don't put the drain by the house? Get it up behind trees in that ditch and daylight it out on leftside towards road?

back of cabin

slope towards the road slightly left. Not sure on soil. I believe clay. When the place was built the builder asked for some of the top soil and said underneath is clay.

So the line came up about 3/4 inch last year and 1.5 inches this year. I'm hoping the line didn't break. The area of the frost heave is an area where the water drains towards. Property wasn't graded properly when the cabin was built 11 years ago. I like the idea of the insulated board over the pipe.

There is a ditch there. It is always wet.

Question to you guys. I included a picture here. So I get the frost heave in the back of the cabin by the bathroom. I would imagine I put the french drain about 18" down 2' off the back of the cabin? This sound correct? Also I dig trench, lay fabric soil separator, put in some stone then pipe covered in the soil separator sock back fill with more stone. Tuck both ends of fabric and back fill some more. Does the top of the trench stay gravel or do you put a layer of topsoil back in?

I thought they changed that law to allow sunday hunting? I even texted my buddy who has a camp there that they changed it. here it is: Modifications proposed for the 2019-20 seasons include: moving the opening day of the firearms deer season to the Saturday following Thanksgiving, creating an 13-day season that includes three Saturdays; *Sorry it was prelim info. Just the date change no sunday hunting allowed.

I'm a bit disappointed in the meat this year. 2.5 year old buck. Had the inside tenderloins tonight and they were like a regular cut of steak. On the grill 3 minutes each side. A bit tough but still good. Maybe I got back someone else's deer! lol Back to shooting young does and button bucks next year! lol

Back in the day......OMG I'm dating myself, I went to this elderly gentlemen's house and listened to his deer hunting stories. After an hour and a half he gave us our certificate. I swear to this day I have done everything by the book and never shot anyone! lol This was 40 years ago life was just so much simpler then.

Pat ourselves on the backs article

Great article I really liked it. My daughters who have really never hunted ask me what it's like out there. I started them too late, theater soccer it all got in the way. One kid that came to the cabin at 14 is now hunting elk out west. I mentored him for two years. He shot his first deer on his first day of a deer hunt with a bow. He had come back for a few years and harvested a buck. Then went off to college. He will be back for a hunt I'm sure. I just love knowing he is doing more for our sport being 22 years old and hunting elk in the midwest. Sure I gave up stand time to be with him but it was all worth it in the end. I can honestly say that when I retire to my hunt camp in a few years I would hope to find a young hunter wanting to be mentored in the sport. -
Could be if you like!

Beautiful good luck! -
This aggravates me to no end. I slow down to piss them off even further. Now to a little story. My Brother in law has a heart condition. We were talking about tailgating when he told me this. He is driving one day and started to have chest pains. Hospital was close so he drove right to it. Told me he must of pissed off a good many people driving up their ass so he could get there quickly. He then says if anyone is in a rush driving up his ass he pulls over and lets them go by. Made me think about the whole situation but...........you know the majority slept late and are rushing to work putting you in harms way!! lol

I'm surprised it worked with one element gone bad. I have a Marathon hot water heater once one element goes bad the unit shuts down. Glad you fixed it, Have a nice shower!!

I was at my property middle march. I found some sheds but also found rubs I didn't see at gun season. Some of them looked really fresh and had the bark at the bottom of the tree. Do you really think the deer were still rubbing Dec-Jan? I would of thought rabbits and mice would of eaten the bark?
