This is real and at some point you will not be able to get out of it. The NRA is in trouble with its leadership. They are not as strong as they used to be. Watch Trump do some things that will spin your head. He is that unpredictable.

We were following a school of fish. Got out about a mile or so and noticed wind and tide changed. It was tough to say the least coming back in.

Our ladder stands stay out all year. I will be replacing the last hang on stand on the property next weekend with a ladder stand. To be safe I would put them up a month or two before season. I have in the past moved a stand in the middle of season. First sit deer came right under it and nothing bothered them. I always thought you could move a stand but you have to be careful, how much is too much to upset a big old buck?

Not Nassau county but here in Huntington Bay I just walked down to the woods which is about 30 acres. It is bordered by homes and the bay. On my neighbors front lawn triplets and mom was just in the tree line. Wish I had my camera. They all looked great!

Weekend was great! We got to the cabin by 10:30 Friday morning. Met my brother half way and he checked on the rentals in Cortland. All good. ( anyone needs a college rental in cortland send me a PM) Mowed the grass got some ice cream checked the trail cameras all good. Had some decent bucks nothing crazy big. We did some shooting with the wanna be West Point Cadet. Took my dads 1940 bolt action 22 out. 30 yards nails the target standing time after time. Took a shot gun out and put a slug into it. Told her what to expect and just aim at the log 30 yards out. She nailed that too. Todays arm was a little black and blue but she likes that shit! Was a really good weekend wish I had more time with her up there. Here is the video of the 22 shot.

Yes we I did. Had a lot of advice but the most important thing was to regrade the property. The water now runs away from the cabin in the backyard. I cut the pipe and put a furnco fitting in for more flexibility. Also bought a new toilet!!

My 19 year old daughters boyfriend is coming down so she can't come. We decided this weekend would be like the weekends we spent when they were in single digits. Get to the cabin unload. See what we needed and off to Canisteo to Wegmans and the dollar store. I used to give them 10 bucks each to buy stuff. Probably she will ask for 20! Back to the cabin and mow the yard take a ride on the quad. Fires Friday and Saturday night. At some point lay in the field and look up at the stars for satelites and shooting stars. Do some antiquing and fishing, enjoy life. No work this weekend!!!!

Awesome deer. I saw Steuben county and was going to ask what town. I hunt in 8P and have been eyeing a deer just like yours for a few years. Glad you took him in another county! lol It's amazing seeing something like that in the woods. Congrats on all your deer!

Just droped my daughter off at a 4 day ID soccer camp at West Point. Been a while since I have been there. We have a few family members that are graduates. Place is beautiful! she will be a Sophomore in HS this year but knows she wants to work in the field of international security. This would be a good fit. Mom is not to keen on the military service but is getting used to the idea.

I heard a lot of drumming the last few years in 8P. Sorry about that Rattler seems you have a passion for it.

Ok day day 4. Itch is almost gone. I run everyday and was not giving up sweating. It did not spread but I did lath up with the tecnu before going out. Was in the pool for 2 hours today and did put some bleach on the inflamed site. So far so good! No beak oil or gasoline yet! LO in my teens I did the gasoline thingy! lol

Ok used the tecnu shit. Showered then got into the pool for 1.5 hrs. Seems like the blisters are starting to ooze a bit. Will do tecnu again then off to the salt water. With this heat Im just staying n the pool tomorrow!
