  1. I just had some breakfast sausage made out in Iowa, pretty amazing.
  2. I think its great you came back to take a look. I'm telling you though deer are tough animals and I have found them hours after I've given up because it means so much to me to find them. Wish you had more time to look.
  3. As much as you would want something to never change it is inevitable. Good bad or ugly it has to change. Yes the old days were good but in that time not now. We humans know too much and have to manage everything! Hell in 100 years there may be little hunting left.
  4. squirrelwhisperer was the guy who helped my out. 30 years in the business PM him.
  5. Three signed copies to me from Peter Himself!!! Hooked up with a childhood friend this year and we all hunted together for a weekend this year. I didnt know he knew Peter Fiduccia personally but he is good friends. He had these books signed personally for me and shipped to my house! Way back when Peter and Leonard did their first videos on deer rattling we were the first to buy their synthetic horns they produced! Merry Christmas!
  6. Merry Christmas and enjoy the New Year! May God Bless 2021!
  7. Just keep yourself in decent shape and take it slow and easy. No need to rush. My buddy was not in the best of shape and overdid it at times with drink and smoke. He was happy though!!
  8. One of the brothers who owns the camp next to me broke several ribs Thursday. Was in the hospital and went into cardiac arrest. They couldn't save him. 66 years old. Hell of a nice guy loved coming up to NY from Maryland. Retired a few years was enjoying it. Did not make it to camp this year because of civid. So sad. On a funny note you can see his stand a few hundred yards from my cabin. Corner of a field and hard woods. I told him he was fair game after opening day, he didn't understand until I started launching golf balls at him with my driver. So much fun but it goes so fast. Live life while there is living left. That is a quote from my other neighbor an old timer farmer.
  9. Two deer taken from my property. One by my daughter and one by my neighbor. My daughter getting her first buck at 16 makes it all worth it. Something I'll never forget.
  10. It's a zoo there sometimes. I do weekdays only
  11. Wow yes the meat is pinkish in color and real tender. Thank you!
  12. So I usually get a regular cut done at the processor. 4 roasts, loins butterflied, bunch of ground and the rest round steak. Most of the time when I take out round steak to cook I find one or two pieces that could pass for loin, it's that tender. I do get a lot of loin just thinking some of it makes it into the round steaks?
  13. Just wouldn't shoot a button this time of season. This is my opinion and I'm not bashing enjoy the meat it will be great.
