If the day ever comes that I buy my own land, that is my plan. Put a camper or travel trailer on the property. If the trailer I buy is too big for my truck then I would ask a friend to tow it for me. It's amazing what gas money and a case or 2 of beer will do! You can also build a small deck off the camper or modify it your own way to make it more user friendly

What's the L-shaped figure bottom right corner? Outbuilding? Camp? House? Even though you may have lost the 90 acres, I think your remaining 30 acres still look good. $400,000 for land? wow.

oh how times have changed. That brought back alot of memories, Even though I was an 80's kid I can relate to it all, and find myself saying the same things to my kids! Thanks for the laugh this morning

Awesome video. What editing software do you use?

That sucks but I agree with Doc. New home comes first. Or hunt in the am for a few and shoot home and finish with the house. Best of both worlds. As far as hanging stands, well I don't know about that. Maybe hang em around midnight and hunt the mornings

Just bought a Sony Handycam DCR-SX85 off of craigslist. Gonna make an attempt at filming my 2012 hunting season. Took some practice videos in the back yard of me and the kids with the bow's. At the end of the season I'll put them onto DVD for grins. Should be loads of fun

Why Crow hunt?
oneidacountyhunter replied to NY Region 3 Trapper's topic in Small Game and Predator Hunting
Last fall I had about 6-8 crows in the field behind my house. I went to my turkey vest and grabbed a crow call. Within a matter of minutes there were around 500 sworming and squaking!!!! They came out of everywhere. The tops of pine trees were black instead of green. It looked like a scene out of Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds" Funniest thing I ever saw -
I didn't know that. Thanks for the info.

I have 6 pounds of brakfast sausage left, 1 packs of straps and a small pack of steaks. I figure if there is any left by Oct 1 it will go to camp. Might as well eat deer while hunting them hehehe

Northern Zone Bowhunters Get Hosed Again
oneidacountyhunter replied to RangerClay's topic in Deer Hunting
I live on the border. I hunt state land for northern tier and belong to a lease/hunting camp southern tier. I don't seem to have a problem getting atleast one deer a season. If they change the whole state to AR, then I guess we will just have to deal with it or move. I guess you can't please em all. -
And the fun begins...
oneidacountyhunter replied to Chenango Dave's topic in Small Game and Predator Hunting
Beautiful bird. I don't know much about falcony. Do you keep them for life or do you trap them, and keep them for a year until next season. When they hunt are they hunting game for themselves like in the wild. Seems very interesting. Maybe I should read up on it some more. By the way I love your pics -
check YouTube. It is full of advise

Got a letter from the Sherrifs Dept...
oneidacountyhunter replied to nyantler's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
That's awesome. They won't lift my restrictions in Oneida County. Mine is for hunting hiking target and camping. Been trying for over 10 years. Doesn'y matter cause I use mine for hunting and target mainly but I would like to not be restricted anymore. Congrats Joe, I guess I just live in the wrong county LOL -
marketing, just to get more money IMO. I can't imagine the tether straps have a shelf life before they disolve or something hahaha

My first year also. Gonna give it the old college try and just see what happens.
