  1. New york should be right behind them.....any day now...pretty soon......right about now......it's coming.......But seriously, I would love to see NY some how stick it straight up little King Andy's arrogant "screw the people " Ars...
  2. Its just catering to losers. Write a check...shoot a big, farm raised buck, write another check to the taxidermist and BAM!!! you're a trophy hunting bad ass !
  3. ants

    Why?

"Nobody owns the deer" is just a B.S. excuse for low life's to justify their low life, trespassing scum bag behavior. IMO these are the same people who will find a dead buck on the side of the road, take it, put a bullet hole in it and then brag to their friends about how they patterned the buck for weeks and then finally got a shot at it. Pathetic scummy little s#$t stains. Thats all.
  4. UNREAL!!! Got another call this morning from my same friend. He told me that one of the farm workers just called him to let him know that there was a Jeep parked off a logging road, and kind of stuck (hidden) in the woods. My friend was at work and I was tied up. I did break free about an hour later and drove (sped) over there. Of course the Jeep was gone by the time I got there & the farm worker didn't get a plate #. I could see where the Jeep was parked and I could see where the A-hole walked in. I wasn't dressed for the occasion, so I couldn't walk in to where I think he went. I was pressed for time too. Im heading out there this weekend and if I see this guy things might get heated..Im sooo pissed right now!!!!!
  5. My buddy called me this afternoon while he was on the tractor. He was out brush hogging the local farm we hunt (his father in law owns the place). He told me that someone took two of his ladder stands, that he had in place for a couple years. One was a nice double ladder stand. I have two out there myself and it was too hard to describe to him where they were, for him to check them for me. I have so much going on that I can't get out there to check on them till Saturday. I'll be wondering and pissed off all week. God how I hate these thieving little swamp rat, crap stained scum bags !!!!!
  6. Yup..pre paid would be the way to go. They still make phones that are pretty simple to use. Just dial a number, or choose a stored number and press send. Thats it. Definitely a good idea for anyone to have a cell phone while out in the woods.
  7. Bushnell Banner 2.5-4.5x32. Excellent scope for the money. About 89-99 bucks. I have had one on my slug gun since the mid 90's with zero complaints. I bought it because at the time thats all I could afford and a "gun guy" suggested it. After I could afford to by a better scope, I could't find a reason to replace it. so it still sees action every year.
  8. If I could only hunt morning or afternoon I would choose mornings. I have had most of my luck in the A.M.
  9. I wear a little of everything. I go on darker or lighter shades rather than the actual pattern
  10. You can "bump fire" any semi rifle or shot gun, with a little practice. Just Google "bump fire"
  11. Soooo Obama hasn't been pushing to strike Syria.....It was the Republicans....Got it..
  12. I kind of prefer the looks of the 88 too. More of an American look IMHO. Both great rifles. Its just a personal preference. Both are harder than hell to find....
  13. I would swallow my pride and flick the switch...LOL !!
  14. Dont wast expensive 243 ammo on the thing...Break out a .22. Unless you can't get a little closer.
  15. When I was in my early 20's. I was bowhunting a stand that was about 40 yards, inside the woods off an open field. I could look out into the field and see a big flock of turkeys on the other side. They were near a hedge row that separated the field from another field. It got to be about 10:30 or so and I hadn't seen a deer but these turkeys were still there. I snuck out of my stand and went back to camp to get my shot gun, figuring that I could sneak along the hedge row and get close enough to get a crack at a bird. About half way up the hedge row, I see this buck crossing the field,to my right, coming from the woods about where my stand was. He was a nice six point and he walked right up to me. I mean right up to me. I was just on the other side of the row and he poked his head out about 5 feet away. We did the stare game for about 10 seconds be for he figured out what I was, and hauled ass. Never got a shot at one of those turkey's either. Still fun.
  16. Funny..I got to level 4 before I killed the guy! LOL
  17. The BLR is a great rifle. I have never owned one but I have shot one a few times (in .308) smooth action and it put rounds through the same hole at 100yds. I guess they're a nightmare to work on though. Pricey. There are actually small gears that mesh, to work the action, and these gears have to be timed. So if the receiver ever has to be taken apart, it can get ugly.
  18. Awesome news Greg!!!! Good luck this season, I hope you bag a giant..
  19. Looks good... I use to plant a big garden & used the plates to keep critters out. They work.
  20. In my mind, the "proper response" is to fight this law, legally to the end. I will continue write letters, e-mail and support the anti SAFE movement. I will vote against the self serving, cowardly politicians who voted for it and who are provided with armed security.. But while all of that is going on and this obvious scam of of a law is in effect, I will not comply with it. I will protect myself and my family with all 10 rounds, while criminal scum continue to victimize people with 10+ rounds. Over think that.... I look forward to reading your next term paper....
  21. We have one in our area. Their prices are hard to beat, especially on ammo. Way cheaper than Gander Mtn. or Dick's Their firearms selection is limited but also better priced than most.
  22. Great idea.....If that thing was advertised as a bow holder it would probably sell for 30-50 bucks.
  23. "What if" knowing that true criminals will never obey laws, a law was passed saying that you could only have 7 rounds in your 10 round mag, to protect your family in your own home? Crazy... but just think about it.
