  1. Sorry for your loss! Will make this coming season all that special!
  2. I was talking to the guy at my local agway and he suggested to wait and plant buckwheat the end of July. He said by planting then, it won't go to seed to earlier and the deer would be feeding in it during the season. Any thoughts?
  3. I always wonder where the big boys are preseason???? My uncle who takes a nice 6 or 8 every year off his 30 acres only sees does on his trail cams. Then once the magic of November hits, the big boys are everywhere. I'm hoping that I'm able to see some better deer this year at my place. We passed on a couple of younger bucks hoping that they would stick around for this year?
  4. I planted radishes last year and the deer loved them. My only regret was that I was only able to plant a quarter acre. The plot came in great and it looked like a lawn mower hit it by november1st. Deer did continue to pull the radishes out like grow said. By march it was bare dirt so I frost seeded clover. I'm definately new to food plots as well but I would definately reccomend the radishes!
  5. Gotta agree ... Liverwurst, mustard, and sweet gerkin pickles on rye. But can't go wrong with an Italian hero!!!
  6. The last pic looks like the button buck was shot last year.
  7. I finally made it back up after a long month... the corn never came up but the apple trees look great and the clover by the pond came up really nicely too. Here are a few pictures from the trail cam and a few others.Clover by pond. Apple trees were pics were taken.
  8. What type of blade do you guys use to cut the arrows?
  9. There goes any hopes of a Sopranos movie!!
  10. Hey Grow... plots look great!! How short do you usually cut the clover? Will I be ok cutting my to clover plots with a brush hog that I rent from agway???
  11. Real nice! Where about in schoharie county? I have property in schoharie as well as my two uncles and we have never seen a bear or get one of the camera. Have you seen them during the hunting season?
  12. Saw this guy last weekend on my way home from Southampton. Look at his bases... that would of been some deer!
