LIVE from the woods 2016 Edition! - 7th Year, lets make this happen...

I got me a 7 pt. Saturday morning about 10:30. I heard leaves crunching & thought it was another squirrel so I didn't look behind me right away. I heard it again so I looked but didn't see him until he moved. I saw the rack & thought that's a good buck. I waited for him to get to an open spot & shot. He ran 5 yards spun around, flipped over backwards & slid down into the gully(of course) and that was it. He had just got done freshening up his scrape that's what I heard. It was about 72 paces and the heart looked like someone had butter flied it open. The right side was a nice 4 pt. The left side was about 1 ft. tall & only had 3 small points. If it was symmetrical it would have been a nice mounted head. Now I am only doing a Euro. -
I can't remember if it was Belfast , Belmont or Franklinville where they would hang the deer & bear in the town square, it was always good times to see them. But of course the politically correct put a stop to it! One time we had 5 deer strapped to the fenders & back trunk lid driving home. Those were the good old days!

The reason being I have been giving 24/7 care to my wife of 46 years, my best friend & the mother of our children,& grandmother of 4. But as of Tuesday 8/16/16 she lost her 5 year battle with cancer, tomorrow (Fri) she will be buried. She was the best & may she now RIP. CANCER SUCKS!!

Still happens! Last week we had them everywhere & I still have them squashed into the tee shirt I had on after it was washed . My buddy put sun screen on his bald head & 10 min. later it looked like he had hair which he could have parted We laughed our a$$es off !! Also Do Not take any banana's on the boat the Capt. will toss you over board! (bad luck on a boat)

Dam, Did you win my Pa, Pa Smurf charter !? Dramamine will put you to sleep & delay the puke to the next day. Try some ginger root capsules. You can take all you want, take 2 about 1 hour or 2 before & anytime after. Unless its really windy Ontario is usually pretty good(flat). Get ready for the Kings. Good luck & enjoy the day!

Wish I knew how to do the cam/pic thing, as I sit here typing I have 3 toms & 3 hens in my yard. The toms are taking turns strutting, fully fanned out 30 ft. behind the house. Fun to watch, not hunting them this yr., pets the wife says. I say I should get some return on my bird seed they ate all winter!

Strap on tree seat?
hunter49 replied to sits in trees's topic in Hunting Gear Reviews and Gear Discussions
I use one , I think they work great you can use them where a chair with legs won't sit level or tight next to a tree. -
I was thinking those are some nice ones for that lake, those will eat good!

Polaris 500 Starting Problem
hunter49 replied to BigGuyNY's topic in ATV's , UTV's, Dirtbikes & Snowmobiles
My Yamaha 450 sounded like yours. It was a bad battery. I replace it with O.E batteries ($90+ x2) which also went dead. Batteries are made to be used often mine was not, sat around most of the time. The last time I replaced it I put in a garden tractor battery($30) from tractor supply, made it fit with a couple of cuts here & there. That battery is going on 4 yrs. old & still going strong. Now I either put a trickle charge on it or if I know I am not going to use the 4x4 for awhile I disconnect the + lead off the battery. I also have the same T/S battery in my mower & that one is going on 6 yrs. with no problem.
