    I must say some of us here are not very respectful of our lustrous leader I see; D-bag, Dick-tater which seems to have an emphasis on Dick, & up yours! Well I am here to say we need to add A-hole, & a few others ! lol jmo.

    I just got the Ok to upgrade to an Unrestricted permit from a target/hunting permit. My question is does any one know if I want to mail it in to get the new status put on do I need to send in my old permit with my payment of $5.00 & the letter they sent me to do so? Any one ever do it by mail? Any ideas? I went in person yesterday & there was at least 2hr. waiting line they said, so I left & it still cost me $5.00 for 5 mins. of parking anyway, geeze! lol

    My idea of ice fishing is sitting in my boat in 70* with an ice cold beer in hand!

    I use the TG method a slow exhale with a slow trigger pull & the trigger on the middle of my finger pad & surprised when the gun goes off.(army training). I also use shooting stick or tree when possible.

    50 years ago hunting hours in NY were 1/2 hour before & 1/2 after sunrise & sunset.

    Here is another stupid thing they do. They send out a letter telling you to recertify, Why don't they just send out the 1 page form, let us fill it out & send it back? I also saw that the county clerks want to meet with the governor before the January 31 dead line because they have no idea what or how to keep track of the recertification info.

    If you read the DEC. ASK permission form it states that; The laws of NY absolve the land owner from liability for Non-paying recreationists engaged in; hunting, fishing, trapping, boating, hiking & other activities.

    This is what I use. I also ask where to park & when I can hunt the property, some I can't hunt on week ends. Also some don't want me to use a rifle even if it is legal in that area.

    Love the farmers some of the smartest, friendliest, hard working people around! Not sure about lawyers, I have a friend that had hunting rights to property for 30+ years & after a son-in- law lawyer of the property owner got involved my buddy could not set foot on the property. I had the same thing happen, a lawyer talked to the owner where I could hunt & now no one is allowed on his property, he is now scared of law suits.

    Has any one tried to use the online Safe Act recertification site with any luck? I have tried & I get almost to the end & the dam page expires! Then I try again & the same thing happens, what's up with that? I have also tried to print the form & that has not worked. Also has any one let them that they are recertifying under protest of the NY Safe Act?

    I feed the birds sunflower seeds all year. I have all types of birds here all the time, which include 20-28 turkeys almost everyday. I have told the turkeys they shouldn't be here but they keep coming back! Sob's trying to get me in trouble! ha. I would say make a big feeder so you don't have to keep filling it every day.
