    how about "if I wear an orange vest and an orange hat, then I can hunt those extra times" not a law, but permission (reward) based on wearing the orange. other than that, I will stick to the compromise we have now. "the state don't tell me what to wear and I wear what I want.

    many, many in ASP as a kid my grandparents would take us to the dumps to watch them. 1 in 1988 near Speculator, NY, which I took with my flintlock. 11 others in ASP (not at the dumps), 3 in PA. 2 in Arkansas, when I lived there. all on state land.

    NYS does not have a "rifle tag". the tag you are talking about is the regular season tag. the first time you can use the regular season tag in the southern zone is when the regular season opens, November 15. you CAN NOT use the regular season tag during the early bow season at all.

    evidence of hair in fresher scat makes me think coyote. their scat will turn white as it ages also.

    bought a recruit from smg a few weeks ago. paid $299.00. amazon has the same outfit for $249.00. haven't shot this one yet. I lived in Arkansas for ten years and owned a Barnett and then a Horton. quality seems the same for all three. will let you know how it performs. soon I hope.

    I will hunt every hour every time I get to go out, no matter the season, no matter the weather(except very high winds). I come out early or go in late only when there are other obligations.

Hope every one had a great time out there this spring even if you didnt harvest a bird. And I to would like to thank WNYBuckHunter for taking his time to run this contest.     there is NO fall season in SC. ever! but they allow 5 bearded birds in the spring. think about that. fall turkey hunting is my very favorite of any hunting that i do. but i would give it up for a better population. really no reason to close season in the spring. lived in arkansas for 10 years. based on the spring harvest, and spring poult count, ect., they opened or kept closed the fall season there-by keeping the population stable.
