Happy BDay!
-
Wow Jerry. You should be excited!
-
That cleaning would stop me in the first instance. Lol
-
Lots more work but I cut all my ATV trails through some very thick stuff with a bladed weedwhacker and chainsaw. Truly fun stuff. Also can’t help with tractor specs.
-
Good job Andrew. That north blows turns it over but you still did good under tough conditions.

Yes

Not sure if deer will use it. 3” gaps between planks but maybe. Their traditional crossing is only 15” east but still very steep. Bridge definitely easier. Saw a great buck today today. Good start.
-
Logs sit on footer buried and each log weighs around 800lbs. Sucker may rot some distant day but won’t move. Bob is a pretty good engineer!

Wetland surrounds most of the dry land at my place. Great cover and some great buck bedding. Easy enough to access for a hunt but a pain to recover deer. My neighbor allows me access through his back field. Not usually good direction for wind to access for hunting. but great for recovery. Except a creek with 5.5’ deep vertical banks and spans 13’. No easy ATV access until now. And way too far to drag. Reeltime helped me last year when I burried the ATV trying to recover my buck Thanks again Lee! Culver (thank you) helped me build a bridge with a 14” oak tree (some heavy heavy logs) and 2x10s. Finished guard rails for ATV this morning to ensure no accident going over. Thanks Bob. Natalie will feel much better about crossing now with the guard rails too. Bonus, makes access to maintain property10x easier too! Ride in, up to stands and back out. Got some shooting lanes to cut now. Hunting is hard work. Lol

Happy BDay Mr Law

Good captains don’t need luck. Pressure on!
-
My guess, both at least 3 yrs and yes, I would shoot.
-
I think Belos point was that 30’ above base of tree does not always mean 30’ above deer. Terrain makes a difference
-
Bedding area with thermals rising to trails = buck cruising. Good luck.
-
I will take quality over quantity any day. Good luck.

Scrub bucks in Steuben Co. are my dream! lol

Which Redneck Soft Sided Blind to buy?

I wouldn't shoot through the screens. Honestly I just leave them open in bow but the screens slide up and down on bungie cords. Easy to open quietly if you like. Or just crack them open in gun. -
I always understood that DEC was more concerned about the spread of disease than some unfair hunting advantage.

I am cheap and use a kindle - don't really bring it hunting but you can download movies from Netflix and watch without using wifi. -

ipad and download movies is the quick fix. lol -
I will agree to disagree. HBCU or historically black colleges were developed due to segregation when black students were not admitted to most southern universities. They have their own conference and apparently hall of fame. They do not preclude whites from attending, but its not often that happens. In light of the historical context, I see no reason why HBCUs should not have a hall of fame or hall of fame game. They don't preclude white people from attending or even playing in the game if eligible. I think its a misstatement to suggest they exclude anyone - others just choose not to attend.

Yep, my neighbor plants several hundred acres of food plots every year right on our border. I called DEC to complain but they just tell me to leave the farmer alone. I think its all them food plots in Steuben Co that grows the monsters down there!

Definitely times I would rather be 6' up with cover than looking like a bear on a toothpick at 15'. 30' feet is crazy to me. I would hate the angle especially with a stick bow. And just haven't seen the need for it. But whatever works.

I have two on platforms. Leave them out year round. Have survived several windstorms and snowstorms without a hiccup. I do not think you will be disappointed. Enjoy. -
How is it out there? Picking up at all? I heard it slowed down over the summer but they should be staging soon. We never even got the boat wet this year.
