  1. Yep especially for those of us easily confused!
  2. Good for you Jay. Quitters never prosper - they may be dry warm and comfortable - but never prosper!
  3. That's my 30-30 scope. I like it very much. simple and functional.
  4. lasso coming out this weekend.
  5. Good Seasons Italian is great if he marinates overnight.
  6. LOL - the way you worded that Tacks was funny. I hope you are feeling better.
  7. My buddy did it with a doe. Worked great. But you better have it on a solid beam. It puts some pressure on whatever it is hanging from.
  8. Had no idea. So is the idea to get them going and then in a zip lock?
  9. SR just seems like a very down to earth decent guy to me. I like his shows. Maybe it was too late to want to deal with recovering, cleaning and transporting that bear. I know I have passed a few animals for that reason, especially Sunday afternoon hunts. Lol
  10. I find that I like lower power scopes with heavy duplex reticles more and more. I personally would not want the boone and crocket (a bit too thin on the cross hairs) and regret swapping out my simple duplex on my slug gun for a ballistics reticle. I will likely be swapping back to a duplex.
  11. I noticed that. Checked this morning due to your thread. 29.5ish

Mendon is loaded. Pygmy quickly identified "a few" on his double. lol
  13. I stay for family, job, continuity for kids, the four seasons, solid hunting and fishing. Don't like the politics or taxes. Would I ever move - maybe at some point but not likely until retirement and it may depend on the kids. But Grampy's idea of NC sounds pretty darn good. lol
  14. Actually, you may be right. I left early for breakfast mid rut when it was sleeting and freezing and sure enough the big buck we all wanted walked 15yds from my stand while I sat in the diner. Didn't live that down for a while. That said, I killed him 3 seasons later so your theory actually played out. lol
  15. So of equal importance, do we ever run into you in Critics in Honeoye Falls. That's our primary stomping grounds for a breakfast break after a morning hunt. Pretty good food there. Plus, its centrally located to Mendon, Rush, Caledonia and Lima where our properties are located. And no one looks at you funny walking in with bibs with blood on them.
  16. Because we all know with 100% certainty that the day you take the break or miss a sit is the very day the buck of a lifetime stops by.
  17. I agree with his analysis of deer movement before, during (although depending on length and level of cold I still think we see movement during) and after. But you may be right on pressure measurements as I understand cold fronts result in low pressure by forcing warm air over the top of the front.
  18. I really think cold fronts can play a huge role in movement - not that we don't hunt when its not in our favor but its nice to be able to focus when it is. I never paid much attention to lunar stuff. That is an area where I still question its usefulness but I know some swear by it.
  19. I use this one. Mine will hold heat all day and it’s one hand open and close with no spilling.
  20. Like two short and a drawn out F sound. The louder and more aggressive (meaning more spit flying) the better IMO.
