Betting Monday will be a killer day in the stand. Weekend of warm weather followed by rain Sunday night and cold temps Monday.

I can confirm Larry's comments that authorities are investigating this as an injury caused by a bow. As usual, authorities will not discuss specifics of the investigation beyond what Nomad said. No idea why it's not on news but frankly glad it's not. I hope the investigation results in solid evidence for an arrest.

Great job culver! I like it. How would that stuff hold up for a kitchen counter? -
Let's see the self bows!

I love my Henry 30-30. Has a small 4x fixed leupold on it. Small and nimble but very accurate.

Welcome Dino! Great that you share your passion with your family. I like the trad bows.

This is true if you don't use proceeds to buy another primary residence. -
Just speculating but: someone is practicing and neighbors dog who isn't well behaved comes into practice range. Shooter intends to scare dog off by shooting at ground in front of him and it ricochets up and into dog. Wrong no matter what but hoping someone wasn't so cruel to shoot the dog intentionally.

Field point? This didn't happen while someone was hunting.

Lots of work there Bob. Looks nice. Good luck with the pour! -
I hope your great memories of time spent together give you comfort. My deepest condolences.

I haven't had that issue. Did you cap the two part syringe? The cap doesn't fit perfect, but I would tape it on tight. Lasted me for several years. Just bought another recently.
-
nope. It works just like the Loctite gel but is a bit thinner. The only downside is that the nozzle is slightly bigger. Just need a steady hand when applying.

Loctite super gel works great but gorilla super gel seems to work just as well and is much cheaper by volume. I use Easton epoxy for inserts but don't expect to remove them once dry.

Happy BDay dude!

Do You Support Crossbow Full Inclusion into the NY Archery Season?
moog5050 replied to tughillmcd's topic in CrossBow Hunting
I know you said you don't dwell on it being any greater achievement but I do get greater satisfaction from the recurve. If you stick with the trad bow, you may just find that you still get the job done and enjoy it even more. Who knows. In the end, that is why I prefer having choices for everyone. -

You would give up the compound. Trad is too much fun! -

I have a great solution - rotate very 3 years - (1) traditional only, (2) trad and compound, (3) trad, compound, xbow. At least that is how I would solve it with my kids. Everyone gets what they want. lol Solomon I am not. -
Looking for advice. Mid size v full size truck??
moog5050 replied to regulat0r's topic in General Chit Chat
My Tahoe had that too. Still only got 14mpg average, which isn't much better than my ford without the deactivation and a bigger engine (12.3mpg). -
Pretty much what I thought Phade. With the recurve, I get a constant drop from the outset so if I aim at 5 yds like I aim at 20 (same POA) I will shoot 5" high (need to aim low) which is pretty constant to about 13yds and then it starts dropping closer to my 20yd POA. At 25yds, I need to aim several inches high and so forth. But, I also have a nock point much higher on the recurve (around .75" higher than level) meaning the arrow probably doesn't arch as much if at all. Testing will confirm with whatever bow you shoot.
-
I always assumed that the reason bows generally shoot low that close is because the sight sits several inches higher than the arrow. Not sure how Rob gets the same poi at 5 and 20. Interesting.

TF, you are both dedicated! Hope you are rewarded!
