Nontypical requires 145 to be entered in NYBBC. Only 120 required for typical but, in any event, I assume the official scorer must determine if the buck is properly classified as typical or non typical.

Alright Pygmy, I shoot the bear with my bow and you finish it off, deal? I hope you are a slow runner though. If you miss, I just need to be faster than you.
-
If you shoot a recurve, do yourself a favor and order a string from Steve. His strings make my bow absurdly quiet, they are really well made fit specifically for your preferred nock and Steve works fast. I have tried most of the big name strings and none are close! Made a quiet bow whisper quiet and no additional silencers needed. I even removed the felt in the string groove as they were not needed. Good looking Flemish twist too. Thanks again Steve. Plus he is a member on this site.

I like to annoy Phade by texting a lot. As does our buddy David. Is that superstitious or just plain mean? I find his "perhaps you should be watching for deer/be ready" responses encouraging and educational. lol

Treestand organizer /shelf
moog5050 replied to Jeremy K's topic in DIY - Do It Yourself, tutorials and videos
I bought one of those small screw in shelves to set down my coffee when the booner walks by but found that screwing it to the tree made it near impossible for me to reach without significant movement. You will need something that extends away from the tree and to the front for it to be useable with a deer in range. That may very well limit shooting. Doesn't help that I am big and not as flexible as some, but just something to consider. That shelf has not made it to the stand after first time out. Look forward to seeing your engineering. -
Antlers are as unique as people. Some big, some small, some wide, some tall, some both, some thick and others not so much. And not all become Booners - sorry Pygmy! hehehehehe

Free with an antenna. But it was horrible anyways.

I assume this is 112 by volume? I shoot 120 by volume. That slug is moving for 245g. http://www.blackhorn209.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/b209muzzleloaderdata.pdf

Elk hunt out west during rut with stick bow and second would be a big brown bear with the bow. Moose and Kudu would be right in the mix.

Just a great chew toy Paula.

They sell for a lot at places like Country Max for people to give to their dogs. You folks that actually find them and don't care about collecting (or just keep the nice ones), should see if there is a market. Its like $10 for an 8" piece of a shed. FSW probably knows since he raises deer.
-
Apparently I leave them hidden right where they fell. If any of you find them, please return them to me. My dog really enjoys them.

Not sure I will ever buy a crossbow, but if I did, that looks darn cool.
-
Congrats. I know nothing about the rifle but good to see you posting.

I will admit I went to a sandals all inclusive and ordered 2 dinners every time. You just have to overcome the shame factor.

I honestly know nothing of astrology and don't believe in a bit - until now. LOL it was the first thing that came up when I googled that b-day.

Best wishes for a fun and successful hunt!

Definitely not - An Aries born on April 17 has an innate understanding of the world around them, and they are always ready for an opportunity that comes their way. Just look at how he observes his surroundings.
-
If there were deer, and there isn't, they are all tiny as there is no ag in the area only lousy browse.
-
Can't be. No deer in that park.
-
the park?

Not to get too specific, but he was born on April 17, 2013.

Does the mermaid know? I hope you and Rac are very happy together.

well that lasted 48 hours. Still eating the rabbit food, but added a chicken breast last night. Man was it good - even had salt on it! lol I am not cut out to be a vegan.

Good freakin question. We add in some chicken/venison after week one, assuming I make it to week 2.
