  1. good looking bow - good luck with it
  2. Supposedly in north tonowanda last year. Couple of monsters http://youtube.com/embed/W7eBPBUxmo4?html5=1&fs=1
  3. You guys are failing to see his need for this law. Think of how many of his highly intelligent supporters may be killed by posing with a live, huge, man eating cat. He is only preserving his vote count. In short "let's keep those who don't think too clearly around to vote."
  4. I just like to be inclusive. I can see the steam rising from his head already. lol We should also have a prize for the neatest job wrapping a deer in plastic before placing him in the carpeted bed of your sissy truck (culver if you win that bad boy buggy?) - Nah, we can just dirty Phade's truck.
  5. Sounds like fun. Can we have a prize for smallest buck so that Phade can play too?
  6. Good night Mr. Bear - but I would not sit waiting for deer afterwards. Unlikely and too much work to get that boar out and cooled down. Wont happen in 8H anyways.
  7. From the pictures I have seen, I may ask Machinist to hunt off his back deck. Otherwise 8H and 8G.
  8. A foot of rain in a day is ridiculous. Hope you folks can keep things moving.
  9. entered - good luck on the buggy Culver. I want a ride if you win. lol
  10. http://huntingny.com/forums/topic/23609-cattaraugus-county-lease-1-person-needed/
  11. I can confirm that its a solid lease for the money.
  12. I really like the leupold fx-2 4x33 on my henry 30-30. Fixed 4x. I think it would make a good choice for marlin mmkay.
  13. I didn't know there were any parts of Webster where you could discharge a firearm. Must be east of 250. I think that's the line. Good luck.
  14. Nice gun, shorts and black socks. lol Good luck with the gun. Hope its a shooter.
  15. When I started, someone suggested that I ask myself why I chose a particular spot to hunt on a given sit. If I couldn't come up with several very good specific reasons, then I should consider relocating. It started the analytic process of hunting for me. My education continues, but I am certain that engaging in the analytical process has helped me tremendously to choose better kill sites. In fact, my best experience so far hunting was a day I wasn't in the stand. We were able to predict a kill site for a particular buck, on a particular day, at a particular time (generally) on a specific wind. The prediction came true. I was tagged out and a friend sat the stand and had his chance, but missed. I was more excited about that than killing my biggest buck last year. We won that chess match, despite the miss. I also agree that more frequent and shorter sits is a great idea.
  16. I generally wear my base layers to the location and put on boots and outer layers when I am ready to dive in. Keep the boots stored in a huge ziplock bag and my outer layers in a large "scent free" duffle. In the end, playing the wind is much more critical than all of the scent free stuff in my opinion.
  17. I had good luck ordering from Gander and having 308 delivered to the store, if its not in stock.
  18. Grizzled old veteran with 2 seasons and 8 deer under my belt. lol
  19. I think with bow certification, for crossbow use, you need to fill out a form prepared by DEC and carry it with you.
  20. Very cool and 10" for every 1 mph of cross wind, wow.
  21. Nice set up geechee. I just finished throwing a leupold fx-II 4x on my henry 30-30 lever. Love how light and nimble it feels in comparison to my other rifles.
