  1. Where did you pick them up for that price?
  2. Still waiting on mine...maybe today will be the day.
  3. I did pretty well actually! I shot a 240 which is nothing I can complain about. Your going to find this funny but I was actually in the group right behind you with frank and my father. I was the youngest one wearing the camo hat. I had a feeling that was you, once I heard you and frank talking about the Adirondaks. I absolutely love it at that place and can't wait to join! Now I just have to wait on that waiting list.
  4. Rage Titaniums for me again this year!
  5. Long Island defiantly has some monsters running around.
  6. As far as I know, you can take as many rifles as you would like as long as they are legal to hunt deer with.
  7. How did the shooting go for you today? Even though there weren't as many people as I expected, it was still pretty nice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Ill be there! I always enjoyed going for this.
  9. T/C Icon in 30-06 and sometimes a Mossberg 550 as a back up.
  10. I have no doubt that it took them that long to get it to you. 7/21 seems about normal from my experience.
  11. Some red oaks have been dropping by me but they're pretty green so I'm starting to think that they were hit.
  12. I haven't recieved mine either. I actually went and got my doe tags before I got my regular tags.
  13. Fires are extremely beneficial to the ecosystem. In fact some places like the Long Island pine barrens actually need a fire in order to re seed the Forrest. The policy to fight fires actually ended up harming us in many ways. I'm glad that many states have started controlled or prescribed fires in order to stop help prevent these huge fires.
  14. Whats the word on hunting in Huntington?
  15. When it comes to the selection you've made, i would prefer to go out of the ladder stand. I almost always prefer to be in a stand if i'm deer hunting. Only time I hunt from the ground is if i'm turkey hunting or if its way to windy to get up the tree. Although there is nothing wrong with a good ground blind or natural ground blind. I hunted that way when i was younger and plenty of deer have fallen to my grandfather that way.
  16. The problem with that, is there are still lead fragments inside the animal when the bullet expanded. It may not be much, but it doesn't take a lot to kill an eagle/ raptor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. As the other have said, its copper. The green color means that the solvent is working and dissolving the copper.
  18. Welcome! Bowhunting on the Island isn't easy but there are some monsters out there. Good luck this season.
  19. I don't have any tips but i was invited to go out and hunt 3A for early bear. Supposedly there are a lot of bear in that WMU. Best advice you'll get is to put a good pair of boots on and start scouting.
  20. I buried everything I shot with lead. Now I try not to use lead bullets...even with those that I don't eat.
  21. I just got my doe tags yesterday and have yet to receive my lifetime license as well. Normally I get them the last week of July or first week of August. I have heard that some people have gotten theirs though.
