  1. So where do you keep your bow while on stand? When I hunt out of my hang on's I rest my bow on the shooting rail. I don't really like screwing things into trees but I usually rest my gun/bow on a nail when hunting out of a home made stand.
  2. Im seeing some scrapes open up in 3m and 3j. Saw some bucks on there feet around 12 yesterday in 3m so it looks like things are about to start going there.
  3. Hoping for a speedy recovery!
  4. Had a buck dog a doe pretty hard for a little while today till she finally lost him. Looks like it's starting to ramp up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. How many arrows have you bought since you started bowhunting or Archery? I personally just bought 6 arrows a few days ago to make a grand total of 18 arrows since i started 6 years ago. If you would like to, you can add the number of bows as well.

    Why?

    That's hunting for you!
  7. Congrats on your first deer with a bow!
  8. Not much rutting activity by the land I hunt. No scrapes yet, just a few rubs here and there. No increase of activity on my cams either but it should be starting soon.
  9. Honestly id spend the money on a better 30-06 or possibly a 300 win.
  10. If you like it, then you could make a bunch of small batches and freeze it for future use.
  11. Ya it was against the garage door with 4.5 feet on either side so nothing could happen.
  12. Well shooting my bow today, I guess I flinched and sent my arrow a few inches to the right of my target only to have my arrow go right into my garage door. Put a nice little hole in my garage door and messed up my arrow and in only have a couple left. Have any of you ever done something like this?
  13. Deer like most other animals, are rarely perfectly symmetrical so its not uncommon to have antlers of different size. Could be because of an injury or just because that's how he grew them.
  14. Congrats! Your hooked for life now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Just because it "new and improved" doesn't mean its for you. Some people just like older guns. Whats the point of hunting with something you won't have as much fun with?
  16. Sorry to hear about that. Unfortunately everywhere you go, you'll run into these people. Try to chain up your stand next time if you can.
  17. One thing i realized is if your core is colder, it starts to take heat from your hands and feet. Try eating small snacks every once in a while. The act of your body metabolizing the food and converting it into energy releases heat that warms up the body. Also if you have to pee, don't be afraid to let it loose because your body uses precious hear to make sure urine and feces are warm.
  18. Usually i see more in the morning but I usually shoot more in the morning during bow season.
  19. Well I cant tell exactly how old the oldest deer was but id estimate it to be about 3.5 years old.
  20. Well at least now you found have a place to head to when you get that rangefinder. Meybe you can get a small stand so you can hang a stand somewhere there.
  21. Congrats on the buck! How did those hypodermics preform?
  22. This is one of the best things you can do. Keeping good relations with neighbors is a huge thing. Since they live there, they can be your eyes and ears. A good neighbor can make your life much easier but a bad neighbor can also make it hell.
  23. Well I would have no problem putting up a couple treestands and posting the property. Try to do most of that with in a day or two and then don't go back in the property till you hunt. I think don't think deer really start feeling pressure until they start seeing you consecutively.
