So do broadheads fly different than field points
Nomad replied to luberhill's topic in CrossBow Hunting
If the bow is tuned correctly FP and BH should have the same point of impact . I shoot FP all summer, and throw in an occasional BH that I use for practice only to see that nothing’s changed . Once season starts I put BH on all the arrows in my quiver but one that stays FP, as I take a practice shot from the stand just before climbing down . I also practice here and there during the season -
Wow I feel, great, awesome day . I’m there most days , its my #1 social outing most days ,and it was taken away for five months . Today I saw current and retired firemen and cops , nice to feel still in the loop ! , the other old regulars, assorted meatheads , and those women in leggings , thank God . What a grand day ! Pushed weights for the first time since March ( limited to Chin ups ,push ups and some KB work at home ) , and a half hour of cardio . I always come home feeling ramped up and ready to go after a workout , and after five months of drudgery and sluggishness , I’m on top of the world today . All the normal covid rules apply , plus extra cleaning , and so on , my gym is very large , holds close to 500, so operating at 1/3 capacity is easy for them due to the shear size of the footprint , classes are done outside to cut down more on the inside numbers .

Nov 2nd . I was good for 19 Pts last year .

It’s a good way to get , meat especially to give to non hunters and not disturb your actual hunting season . I just don’t want to mess with deer in this heat .

My go to, of late , very drinkable, I enjoy it . It was my camping beer earlier in the week, drove right past the Other Half on the way to the campground . Popping one soon . https://untappd.com/b/genesee-brewing-company-dry-hopped-cream-ale/3923861

Along with scarce, friends are building in Tenn. builder has been having issues getting materials, which has dramatically slowed things down . They had to rent an apartment for six months , as they timed the sale of their house here with a completion date that is no longer . Our daughter is still waiting for new shutters to come in , after having her house painted , the first week of July . Glass door mini fridge, for her bar area was quite a search . Our friend needed either a refrigerator or freezer( I forget ) to replace a basement one, so he wasn’t picky . Lowe’s had zero, and didnt know when they would get any .

And a number of the heavy hitters haven’t signed up , what’s the deadline for sign up ? If team 4 is behind I may open up my spot ....

Very popular out West where guys hunt a ways from camp . Here’s my friend Roger breaking down his bow Elk, he was 1 1/2 miles from camp, took 4 trips to,pack out meat and head , so 12 miles of walking ,half of that with what 100lbs on his back ? And he’s a skinny old college professor......

Not my exact target, but this shoulder shot, went maybe 60 yards and I just walked a red path to, it .

I have a friend ( since kindergarten) who lives there . He’s an attorney, flaming liberal, and traditional bow hunter . He lives on Bainbridge island in the sound , an island of almost exclusively white millionaires ,takes a fairy to work in Seattle . He’s with the people though , as long as they can’t get to his island I guess ..... I must say I enjoy watching the city circle the drain .

To me it’s way more of a property rights issue . Gated private posted land and they just stroll on with no warrant and do whatever the F they want ,doesn’t sit well with me . he was caught prior to,the cameras being placed , that’s just a a follow up ,you know instead of watching all the career violent criminals they let out ,much safer for the cops , but little benefit to anyone who’s not a dove I guess .

Won’t change on my land , .... But sure more have taken the online class then normally take the in person one , and some who gave it up are , going to go back out and knock down one for the freezer I suspect . I’m going to take a doe early ,( I seldom shoot does ) to can . My goal is to have 100lbs of canned meat ( I have 60 lbs of chicken now ) .

Well sure we have two the hunt the farm . What you’re saying is totally different then what’s happening in the link I posted though .

I was surprised that NYS is one of few, that doesn’t allow this . Also I can see how people here erroneously think the DEC can just come on private land whenever they wish ,because in most states they can . Come from behind and place tape over lens , and accidentally lose a box of nails on the nearby road ....

My wife wants to, protect our assets from the coming inflation , higher taxes ,and the Democrats who want to redistribute it . One Reason we bought the camper ,and perhaps a new truck, and maybe a vacation home . Get it out now and into hard assets before increased taxes and the Democrats trying to redistribute it ,get at it . Well heck two friends from out of state called today , they’re trying to move their money too. One looked into the Cayman Islands, but you have to own land there now , so their neighbors who are also trying to, protect their assets ,suggested buying land as joint tenants ,if that would satisfy the requirements. I knew the coffee cans in the back yard was a good move .

Having her come across as an equal or greater bioch then Hilary would not help, your cause . Aside from being a lofty and almost unobtainable goal .

Andre Reed was on a tv show , the Mrs said that’s not him he’s to small . I said well he’s gotta be mid 50’s, to which she replied . “ well you’re 61 and still pretty solid , ok with a couple extra rolls .....” Gee thanks #openthegyms

Wife wants out bad , our kids living here keep me here though . Once the youngest finds a solid guy , that may change things . So many friends and family have left already its tipping the scale for me . Had lunch with a nephew up from Texas today , he sold his law practice here , the buildings , his home and moved his wife and four kids to Texas , couldn’t be happier . His “ friend group “ from here are all talking of moving , their parents have all moved already. NYS is circling the drain , all the ones pulling the cart are leaving , the ones riding in the cart are staying , not a pretty picture. The tax picture in NYS in two years will be interesting

If you see a seat , up in the tree, that confirms it’s a catbird .
