I’m going to help you out here bro , take a page from my playbook . For our 30th wedding anniversary I bought an uncirculated proof quarter from 1,988, bought it to a jeweler and had him make it into a pendant. Every time she wears it ( which is a lot ) women ask, well why she’s wearing a quarter, and she proudly gets to explain it , and I of course look like a great sweet ,loving ,thoughtful guy , which they already know, but this reinforces it . I also snowblowed three neighbors driveways today , so when they get home from work they can get right to their special nights , ok I was just bored .

Early this morning I left a trail of rose peddles leading down stairs , through the kitchen and out to the hot tub, where I sat with a pitcher of mimosas , and some chocolate covered strawberries. She slipped through the kitchen door with a smile from ear to ear , and tossed a plugged in toaster into the tub ,fortunately she’s a poor judge of distance as the cord was to short . Looks like she’ll be getting a new toaster for Valentine’s Day , although she says she wants an extension cord for some reason ....

Two,years ago ( my first one ) tickets were on a staffed table at the door , being an old fart I don’t recall last years, but I’d guess it was the same .

Turns out there’s a nano brewery in VT. That’s uses my wife’s maiden name, it’s a fairly well known name in the county here, a large farm family and a couple of lawyers in town . Outside of that one doesn’t run into the name, so I contacted them and they sent me some stickers , turns out that it’s the name of a road and highest point in the county there . So,today she got them in her card .

That’s funny I just buy Other Half at their place in Ontario county , no lines .Camp out overnight ? Wtf ,slide it across the bar and I’m gone . Although if I go on Sat. There is an annoying number of hipsters there , I’m generally in camo or Carhartts ,as I come from my land ,never had to pull my Glock, they generally clear a path .

I got her a card today, but without my readers it may very well be a birthday card . Also today in the mail I got some stickers from a Nono brewery in Vermont, with the same name as her maiden name , a well known farm family in Ontario county . I know she’ll be surprised and happy ,it’s an unusual name , one of the earliest “white “ Families in Ontario county .

I think this guy is local as my friend says he knows him, now this is one I could go for . So many at work had to get tough guy ones , skills with flames and such .

31 years of wedded bliss , not one major fight . When I worked my FF schedule and she days , we’d see each other at night 3/4 of the nights and ,every other weekend , go three complete days without seeing each at all other out of every 12 . Now both home all the time ,it’s a bit of an adjustment. So this weekend I get one three day block to myself , something I had three times a month for close to thirty years . Phade , I got my kids on and off the bus most days , and was with them 3/4 of the days during the summer and holidays , rarely needed a sitter .

Mid day Friday Mrs Nomad meets some friends for lunch , afterwards they head to a B&B in Ithaca for a week end of shopping, eating ,drinking and hiking ! So I have the house to myself ! I can play the Allman Brothers at a proper level , nobody to question everything I do ,or don’t do ,The TV won’t have Nash Bridges on all day ..... Cheers !

Who needs three watches ..... Here’s the bottle from euchre last Sat night . I also like Hibiki , by Suntory when I can find it . Forty Creek is good easy drinking cheap bottle as well .

Thanks. But when they call in the early part of the day, I know it’s generally not good . Being retired helps , Ive got the time . Now that ones engaged, I figure it’s another guys turn .... I tried to teach they to be self reliant, but cars and other mechanical things , it didn’t work out to much . Belo yes one winter on those snows. There’s a guy on county line , near lake rd that has a tire shop at his house . Been doing it like 30 years, he recommends that brand of snows, all his family runs them , but when it was towed to firestone , they did have trouble finding one .
