Snow . She parked on the road despite having off st parking , the plow packed snow around car . In her effort to drive out of the hard packed snow, the snow pulled off the front screws or Christmas trees . Its a very thin piece of aluminum I think , basically to keep, stuff off lower engine area ,and help with aerodynamics . 2016 Civic Ex , very low to the ground ,AAA said very common .

Ha wait till, you guys have girls driving . Flat tire, the RN calls me , car is making a horrible noise , ( you don’t say .) She had a front flat before and could tell right away, this time rear flat ,and until it totally sh!t the bed it drove ok I guess !? She got off 490 in a bad area, so off I went , beat AAA by 15 minutes or so . The daughter in Buffalo was going into the office last Sunday and her car too was making a horrible noise , via cell phone I had her look under it , and found this “ skid plate “ tore off and scrapping the ground, AAA bent it up , so it wasn’t scrapping anymore . The next day Goodyear reattached it for $50 , which was better then me driving up ,plus today she had to drive to Syracuse .

Ha you don’t say, I put close to 60k on this paint shaker .

Had two bikes in my life ,from about idk 1980 to 2000 ? Put a bit over 100,000 on them , kids really cut the miles down the last few years . Lost it hitting an oil slick while making a left through and intersection, slid right through on the ground behind the bike . Mostly ok , broke cutch handle off so had to drive home down shifting when the R’s dropped , and avoided coming to complete stop at red lights . Hit by one car on Lyell ave and Glide st . A few close calls like every rider faces . If I was to get another , it would be a rat bobber .

Recommend a great place to eat in Rochester area
Nomad replied to rob-c's topic in General Chit Chat
Well I’m an East sider, and worked on N. Goodman for 14 years and University Ave for 14 , so I’m familiar and comfortable around there . I really liked The Brighton on East ave back in the day . I still have a hand full of drink chips from Nosh, the owner dropped them off at the firehouse . My daughters took me to Grappa for my birthday . We’re mostly at Pub 235 in Webster as it close and we always run into people we know there . -

I’ve been to Trata many times , mostly for drunks passed out, gas leaks and so on . We ate there for the first time a couple weeks back, I was expecting a bit more on the menu myself , ended up getting a wagyu burger . -

Solid choices listed . For steak I’ve always likes Tournedos , it’s downtown ,behind Ch. 10 neat place . http://www.innonbroadway.com/Default.aspx?RD=2317 For something a bit different many like Good Luck ,in Village Gate in N.E. Roch. https://d1qmdf3vop2l07.cloudfront.net/loyal-window.cloudvent.net/compressed/_min_/07d748c288c8e1a6f7daf39470520a3a.pdf Another place in Village Gate is The Gate House , very good burgers, wood fired pizza and so on, just for another opinion . We often eat here before or after going to a play at the Auditorium Theater , if there’s a play, you may have trouble getting seats though . Same for Good Luck .http://thegatehousecafe.com/menu/ Honestly my best meals in Roch. Were in firehouses , so, it’s hard to recommend restaurants. -
I use a double edge, badger brush and soap as well . I’ve heard guys practice the straight razor on a ballon and shaving soap . From the picture, that edge looks like it’s seen better days . My medicine cabinet, has the slot that I use to drop the old blades in .

Nose bleeds, will be a bit over $200 once fees are added in , but you can sit up front for $3,300 . Secondary market prices generally run 2x -4x those prices . Decent seats seem to run about $400 each , so figure a grand for two of you .

The country ones are the hardest to get, the fan base for those old bands are dying off , and there’s only so many handicap parking spots and toilets. The Stones will sell out fast though , FYI the pre sales start at 10:00 , but you’ll need to log into the “ waiting room “ ten minutes prior . Also notice how everyone gets a pre sale code lol .

Buying concert tickets have become such a pia , sometimes less then 10% are available for the general public . So many pre sales that aren’t pre sales , but the main sale . We just tried for our daughter as she was working . Day one Tuesday ,used her fan club pre sale code, could not get seats only lawn ,too many ahead of us . ( we grabbed the lawn tickets ) Thursday , used another code, only had 2,200 ahead of us and got seats in the shell , a bunch at cards Sat night were amazed we got seats , as none of them could on the pre sales and they all had “ codes “. Fan club , Amex, Chase card holders so many groups get presale codes these presales sell out in minutes, then there’s the bots ....

Glad to see them find a good home , they just sat on my basement floor . -
I was just impressed with their customer service and knowledge of the product line . I guess it can be pricey , but you get what you pay for .

APPARENTLY NOBODY SHOULD BE LIVING IN UPSTATE NY
Nomad replied to Rattler's topic in General Chit Chat
First that’s a Satire site . As far as upstate taxes, first we’d need to define “ upstate “ my understanding is it’s anything above NYC, that’s a big area . It varies much from town to town ,waterfront and so on. My daughter just bought a home for 157k her taxes are pretty much the same as her mortgage. My home is worth about 30k more and I pay over a grand closer to two LESS per year . -
I’ve been to the flagship one in Seattle and joined the one in Roch. when they opened here . I thought I’d share my experiences for those not familiar with them . Top of the line outdoor gear , not hunting ,but backpacking ,hiking, snowshoes ,rock climbing and so on , but there’s a large cross over, knives, headlamps, boots, base layers, socks, rope and on and on . The staff is always friendly and VERY knowledgeable. Mrs told the guy she needed light weight ,ankle high, hiking boots, but not for any really technical hikes/ climbing . He went to the wall of boots and turned 6 or so facing her , she said I also have narrow feet, he turned a bunch back and said , these here are the ones . They have a sloping “ rock” so you can try them out going up and down ,not just walking around the store . Then he explained why a wide toe box , can be a good thing and on and on about the shoes . She said she was going hiking in a week , and would see how they worked ,I guess . Then he said well you have ONE YEAR to bring them back, just wash off the mud ! She got some Darn Tough socks too, ( lifetime guarantee) and btw Smartwool has a two year one if you didn’t know . The guy knew more about the construction of socks then TF knows about beer, almost.... Just a great store with a great staff, no hassle returns . They have classes as well , from bike repair to winter camping .

It makes me smile , I got one with my .270 at a bit over 100 yards on a flat out run ! That’s something !! I try to forget I missed him while he was stalking some turkeys at 35-40 yards though .....

Often times lack of permits gets you at the back end when you sell . There was a time realtors would check to see you got them and then either squeeze you for cash or make you get them . That also would lead to blown deals, it cost me cash when I sold my Dads house .

What ? Been to hundreds of mva’s including motorcycle riders that were turned in a bags of broken bones , nobody gives a crap what I may have to red bag , or flush down the storm drain . Frankly most of the gross stuff you’ll deal with won’t be at mva’s . Never heard that explanation, usually one hears its to keep, overall medical and insurance rates down ,

I get the best dog, family pet thing , trouble is I can’t tell that on sight . One attacked my dog here on a trail in Webster, last summer my nieces pit ,bit my leg at a party at her house, both suburban family “ pets “ . I view all large/ strong dogs as a possible threat , especially ones that home owners policy’s won’t cover, figure they know something .

I’m in , and if it gets moved to Hawaii, I’m still in !

Agree . When you’re a public figure that serves at the pleasure of the Mayor, if someone wants to take you down, they’ll use everything they can find .

Yep, was also a factor in a past Chief of our Dept getting fired , Italian guy who ran his sons stag ...... Should have been more discreet, House can’t take a cut legally .
