    Heading down soon . First I gotta feed the neighbors two large dogs and let them out, as they’re in the hospital having their first child . Trouble is the German Shepard bit me this summer as I leaned over the fence , so going into their house should be interesting.

    I’ve always thought I should shoot four deer ,keep backstraps and tenderloins from all four , grind up one deer and give away the other three minus backstraps and tenderloin.

    I’ve shot plenty of arrows out of my bow in high winds , practicing in my yard . Cant say I’ve noticed much, at the distances I shoot mostly around 20 yards + - . Id worry more about tree movement . Just found this , confirms my experience at 20 yards , farther out and stronger winds and you’ve got a problem ! https://www.sikastopper.com/archery-and-wind

    No that’s Jay my childhood friend who’s now an attorney in Seattle , this is Roger ,Jays friend from Seattle who moved to Montana years ago . Just looked the odds of nonresident drawing a deer tag are not in my favor it seems , in the past I applied for elk/deer combo ,much more money but greater odds. NR can only do deer now .

    Ok not NY woods, here’s my friend in Montana with yesterday’s deer , he’s a biology professor, and does a dandy field dress . I should go back out , everyone gets bucks pretty easily. I always forget the March deadline to apply . It’s a mix of whitetail and Mule deer at this spot .

    Very wet, right now with bright sun and high winds in Webster . Agree with Belo, I did my first all day hunt yesterday ( with lunch break ) after five days of no hunting , still I couldn’t wait to get out of tree not one deer seen in last four hours of the day . I’ll do one end of the of the day only hunts for a while yet . Dont use tapatalk, but my battery dies fast in the woods with little use ,same thing when we were in St Louis . 100%, took a shower got dressed went to leave hotel 82%

    I’m so shocked and disappointed ,that guys I like here ,actually like these songs . Making me rethink my judgement . The ‘80’s sucked for music . Pop music sucks, combining the two, leads to an unstoppable force of nature suckness .

    Wife grew up very close to here, our land is close and the farm I hunt runs from down the road a bit to Victor . Food has always been good, beer solid .

    Looked like a 2 1/2 mildly chasing a doe 75 yards behind me just now .

    I’ve had a doe at around 40 yards grazing for over an hour . Young buck just slowly moved through the center of woods . 11 million geese just flew over . couple hens early

    Bumped two nice bucks in field on walk in , I just started to glass it before entering . At least they ran towards the back of the woods I’m hunting in . too many layers on but not going to move the amount necessary to remove them now .

    I just showered with Irish Spring and put on Mennen Speed stick ,big cup o joe for ride down in a bit .

    Makes no sense to me if everybody buys the guys behind them , just buy your own . Now I have paid for diner for a group of Coast Guard folks, and I overheard a conversation between a young man and his Mom and a bar, he was shipping out soon it seemed, I paid my tab and theirs on the condition the barmaid didn’t say anything till I was gone . But the whole line thing I’m not big on .

    No problem shooting bow with cap, although as a joke years ago I cut a big “ V “ in the brim , perhaps I should sell them !

    That’s one reason I don’t have FB, or generally read comments on posts like that .

    Few years ago my daughter “ killed” this buck. She took pics, sent them to friends, posted on FB , looked back over at it ( still in stand )and it was walking into a crop field with two does . Never to be seen or found .
