Buckmaster , I’m a lot like you in this regard , don’t know my credit score, don’t care. I’ve had three loans in my life ( almost 60 y/o ) motorcycle when I was a kid ,mortgage,and one car loan . I guess I have a good credit score as my one and only car loan on the Subaru they gave me 0 % interest ,was going to,pay cash, but put the money in a fixed account paying close to 3% instead ,since the gave me zero % loan . We do use our one CC for all purchases and I just got $600 in gift cards from that . Pay it off every month ,automatic withdraw from my bank account .

Watched the video, guy seems ok to me ,admits his mistakes , which many would have left out altogether . Before America got flabby , many men didn’t wear shirts working hard in the heat . I seldom saw my Dad working in the yard with a shirt on in the summer , and us kids played sports shirtless, gym class was shirts vs skins . That was before the need for “relaxed” jeans and untucked shirts .

As a guy who,shaves with old school double edge blades, I make sure to “ wash” them with hot water after use, then wipe dry on a towel, they last a lot longer that way .

Actually Subaru owners, buy well below what they can “ afford “ and pay cash for them 36% of the time . Their models appeal to outdoor types and some racers or drifters . I do enjoy the stereotypes, as nobody expects me to be armed and if I happen to meet any lesbians well that’s a bonus !

If you have trouble sharpening , use a Sharpe on the edge bevel ,then you can monitor where the edge is hitting the stone . Also most brands will restore a factory edge for free or a few bucks. Spyderco also makes sure the lock is up,to standards and used to buff out any scratches . Honestly if it’s an issue send it back for sharpening , and buy the Spyderco sticks ( I’ve had mine 25 years or so ) then just a few passes here and there will maintain it .
