Ya Rob , our RN worked 12 yesterday and an 8 today she should be here 4:30 or so . I worked 50% of all Christmas’s so my kids were born into working that day . Although this year is very different for us. my wife’s and my parents are long since gone , our kids are not yet married . My sister always hosted it, and her son would come up from Tenn with his family ,this year sister went to Tenn on way to FLA for the winter . We often did Christmas Eve with my wife’s brother and his long term girlfriend, we buried him last Sat. It still feels like Christmas, but it’s a lot quieter . As for gifts , idk what I’m getting , my wife will get a new laptop/tablet combo, and I got a Geek Squad, membership . That will pay off the first year , as we will need a new TV wall mounted , TV airel mounted and run to three TVs , two laptops cleaned up , data transfer and more .

Having kids, even when they’re adults, on their own . Oh and a older bladder ..... I’m up to,pee 2, 3:30 , 5 ...... often staying awake for some time ,each time .

Not a week goes by that my wife doesn’t bring up moving out of state. For us, liberal policy’s and handouts . Weather, ( going to Fla this winter for 5/6 weeks, it’s a start ) High cost of living . Most all her friends have already moved,out of state , and another couple we’re pretty close with just bought land in Tenn and will build and move in two years . Guns could become the tipping point for me, its a fight to stay , and only because our two daughters are here , once they marry I could see moving ,come back a few times a year and have them down a couple more times . * “ you bet your sweet hippy “ is from Laugh In , same era though .

You’ve learned much, but I think you’ll find sounds can sure spook them. I can think of two very nice ( one true monster) bucks that just flat out ran from very minor sounds. One was a slight squeak of my rubber boot on the stand , the other was a noise from the stand it self moving . This year reaching for my gun my hand “ hit” the bolt and made ,the tiniest little noise, stopped a doe in her tracks .

As far as a cashless society, I’m not much for that . Pretty much every guy I hire, from cleaning my gutters, to remodeling our kitchen ,to the guy who works on my kids cars , I pay cash . We save a ton . My car guy is off the books, and his labor rate is $50 an hour not $125 . Always need cash, bribes,hookers,blow , dont take CC .

As far as his shot, not what we aim for but ,can be Very fatal . This one of mine went 75 yards , I had to swing around tree and I took a hard rear quarting shot hit high . Pic with my dog ,was a guy who asked me to track his buck.similar shot ,didn’t go to far . Both dead is short order .
