There seems to be some doubts about the authenticity of manifest, with large parts of it seemingly copied and pasted from some previous church shooter . Or so the net says , time for yard work !
-
It’s idk interesting that he wrote out a 180 page manifesto , plan of attack . I’m glad we’re loading the camper and heading to the hills for a few days .

Retired BPD working security at the store ,exchanged fire, but his bullets were stopped by a bullet resistant vest . Guard is one of the victims.

In all fairness , one does look pregnant .

My wife’s parents passed like 30 years ago , mine a few years back . I’m at total peace , I can pass tomorrow, and I’ll smile ,I’ve had hell of a ride ! ( 63 y/o ) Years ago I told our kids I just wanted to make it to the point , I knew they were set , mission accomplished, I’m on bonus time now . I told our youngest put me in our boat ,float it out in the lake and shoot flaming arrows at it! She said but then we’ll loose the boat . God I love that kid . My condolences to those that lost love ones , but don’t cry over me , its all good .

Never had it same the Mrs , only wore a mask when absolutely forced to . Retirement parties of 150 plus maskless since the beginning. Traveled all over ,maskless . Multiple exposures, Never got it . One J&J shot I did get blood clots though …. I don’t know just lucky ? Or suburb conditioning and health ?

America Last Agenda!

Most things I need I make sure I have plenty of . I take one low dose aspirin a day and an acid reducer, I have a two years supply . I realize a young couple can only afford so much , but formula seems pretty important , in todays day and age one can’t simply depend on the store once a week for your needs . Some will scream Hoarder ! Mostly ones that don’t understand the meaning of that word . Everything I have I’ll use ,nothings extra , I just don’t subscribe to the Just In Time method, no matter what Toyota says … -
Set up at 8:45, it’s freaking hot out ! Just rolled a coat up into a pillow, nap time. Almost got one yesterday at the 104/590 split it flew maybe a foot over the car in front of me .

So I figured my two hours I put in so far was plenty , with the warm weather I’ve switched to the yard work, pool opening, power washing , mulch spreading ( 14 yards ) stuff . Along with festivals and camping . Then just now my buddy who lives behind my woods and took a long bread the first day, just texted to say there’s a bird gobbling in my woods right now . I told him to go shoot it . ( tomorrow of course …)

I inspected a shop here where they sold African “ art “ the basement had piles of it laying on the floor . The guy showed us pieces he bought for $15 bucks over there and sold for like a grand ! rumor has it Moog funded his new home via his painting of a few years back…..

It’s certainly nothing I’m counting on 100k or so is not that much to me . My hedge fund ,private equity nephew triples our money every three years …..minus the 2/20% rule . I just like off the books assets .
-
Congrats ! We’re in the will of a person who owns a couple dozen paintings , some in the five figure range . . Art, jewelry , gold have always been a nice way to pass some wealth under the radar . I love hard assets .

Apparently that camo isn’t all that good …..

I thought one couldn’t siphon gas anymore due to the valves in the filler neck that prevent spills in roll overs not allowing a hose to fit down ?

Fun times ! Add in a baby formula shortage , now talk of electricity shortages this summer, brownouts etc. as traditional sources go offline faster then “clean energy “ can come on …..( sorry Fox was the only source that didn’t require a subscription to read ) . Neighbor ( with new born ) just bought the same big bag of grass seed as last year , went from $100 to $170 . https://www.foxnews.com/us/grid-operators-warn-electricity-shortage-renewables

Now I’m suspicious, did Moog , leave that plate there ?

Have a great day !

Happy birthday

You’re my hero ! Post one picture and the usual suspects generally come out of the shadows, to freak out , never realizing they’re being played . Good points Gman, but I for one have never once held a range finder , let alone used one , wether the deer is 12 or 15 yards is moot . I also shot fingers with a compound over half the years I’ve hunted , todays shorter bows make that a tad harder today , so I cheat and use a release.

Live from the rifle range
Nomad replied to Robhuntandfish's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
I should have taken pics . We went shooting at my range , I asked my buddy to bring his 12ga Mossberg Shockwave ,stock photo below , as I was toying with the idea that it might make a nice truck gun . The recoil wasn’t that bad with 00 buck, but it’s pretty hard to hit much hip shooting , anything fairly close is easy to miss as the load just doesn’t open up much at those distances, and there’s no way to aim the thing , without risking hitting your face ….. I’ll stick with my 18 inch Benelli with stock . Shockwave is stockless and 14 inch barrel. Lesson #2 Steel case Russian ammo sucks when not fired in a AK47 , my other buddy sold his AK ( as it was far from compliant, bump stock and all ) and got a mini 14 , the AK ate up that ammo the Mini14 fired about 3 out of 4 , those commie primers are hard ! Now he’s stuck with 1000 rounds of it ,which 750 will fire in practice lol . -
I never check prices , I just get gas . A couple bucks savings wouldn’t be worth it to me to have to cross traffic either .

I’m in retirement, but nothing is in stocks that would be needed in the foreseeable future. Does it suck to look sure, which is why I haven’t . My deferred comp was a mix of stocks and the general ( fixed rate ) fund , years before retirement, I shifted it a year at a time till it was 100% fixed . Im not much on annuities, but a few years ago I put a chunk into one , didn’t want to put it into stocks , and at the time the rate was pretty good . In down times I look at those accts. And smile . Also we got into buying “ stuff “ our RV, a high efficiency furnace , Honda generator , had house sided ,new doors , garage doors , bullets , beans and bullion ,took profits and bought hard assets . We’ve been through a number of these downturns and high inflation, my first home the mortgage rate was like 14-16 % . I’m old enough to remember W.I.N. buttons! I learned from a friend he’d take profits , add a four season room, next time a big shed and so on . Those big numbers on paper are just that sometimes you need to turn them into physical things ( for us older folks ) Take from this market and learn . Now our kids , they’re still mostly aggressive long term , and I’m sure I’ll have to calm them down this Sunday . You only loose when you sell at the down turn , of course this time the recovery may be a long long time coming .

You’re doing your kids a favor getting them out of NY while they’re young . They may resist at first, but will adapt in time .
