I know a fair amount of younger voters , typically a Dem. Voting block , what’s pissing many off right now is high cost of gas, food, entertainment/ recreation. They are not fans of the current administration, people vote with their feet and wallets . Which is why Biden’s trying to counter that with student loan forgiveness . Inflation is a regressive tax, and it’s hitting them as a group hard .

None here in Webster . The town won’t issue peddlers permits, to gypsy’s .

Weigh in day , down 12 pounds in 18 days , on Nomads just eat less and move more diet . Tomorrow 6 course Italian dinner , breakfast with daughter Sunday , then camping with meeting one daughter for dinner at a lakeside restaurant, them a retirement party ,followed by a trip to Pittsburg for baseball , then a wedding in Virginia. I’ll still come home down ,it’s not hard , put the fork down and move .

Thinking of inflation , peoples struggles, can’t pay their college loans etc. got me thinking of my upbringing . I was born in ‘59 two sisters two parents who built a 1100 SF ranch house in Webster ,on a triple lot they bought off my Moms dad , who had a vineyard there . Dad worked at Kodak, Mom stayed at home till I was in like 4 or 5th grade and could take care of myself then she got a job . Mom cooked from scratch , made my sisters dresses and patched my jeans . When you got a hole in your socks ,she put a light burb in it and sewed up,the hole , she reused tin foil , lunch bags and so forth . Hand soap ? You know when it’s down to a sliver and you throw it out ,she saved them ,put them in a mesh bag, tied off the end ,and then you washed with that. She never bought cookies ,she made them , snacks well popcorn ,an apple or orange , and an occasional half gallon of ice cream , and kids weren’t fat imagine that . We had a garden 150x70 feet , Dad took vacation time come harvest , mom canned and froze a lot of food, dad took a deer every now and then. oh our house had a stone driveway for many years , paved ones were a luxury . Dad would cash his check and give my mom some money which she put in labeled envelopes, one was “ fish fry “ so after a few weeks we could go have a fish fry dinner . Today people eat out on a whim a couple times a week . We weren’t poor, dad made good money , but people knew the value of it . Dad built our addition , painted the cars did all the mechanical work though . During the ‘70s gas crisis he car pooled with two,other guys ,and continued that for many years . I had a total of three bikes my entire upbringing , a baseball glove bat, football , basketball and a BB gun , can’t recall much else . Fast forward to,today, young folks can’t repay their loans …. But they have iPhones , three steaming services, gym membership , a jet ski , take vacations ,new sneakers a few times a year oh and craft beer of course .

As it should be my man . The issue there is 1/10 oz is the smallest coin and ,1. You pay a higher premium on those and 2. current spot plus premium is $280 ,I’m going to need at least 6 Iron Cites for that .

So I just learned PNC Park is now cashless , it would seem to me that will slow things up . I go buy two beers I’d give the guy $20 , $25 whatever and walk away saying keep the change . So now I gotta slide a card, hit approve ,enter a tip ? Plus there's no way I’m passing my card down a row of seats to the ones walking the stands . Anyone been to a cashless ballpark ? No bags either ,wtf , we often spend the day walking the cites, prior to the game .A string bag with a water bottle , maybe rain gear, sunscreen , reading glasses ect is handy .

Not sure if some meat in the freezer and a couple cases of it canned ,along with a decent working panty will be enough . We are “ going shopping “ today to fill in some gaps . I advise everyone ,if there’s something you really need on a regular basis be it ammo, baby formula, RX or OTC drugs keep a good supply on hand . I take a low dose aspirin a day, you can buy 30 for like $3 at the store , I just ordered 1000 for $10 online , saves money and I’m good for three years no matter what happens. Like China who makes 90% of our RX and otc drugs, decides not to ship to us . Blame my parents , they had a garden about 150x70 ( extra lot next to the house ) it’s also where I burned the trash and dumped the waist oil along the fence . Mom canned and froze a ton of fruits and vegetables, we had a large chest freezer and a “ fruit cellar “ , Dad occasionally got a deer for the freezer , but he caught and we ate fish too . During the odd/even days of gas rationing, he had a 55 gallon drum of gas in the back yard . My mom made my sisters clothes, darned socks, patched the holes in my jeans , which in the summer became my shorts . Dad worked on our cars ( I got to hold the light, sometimes the timing light !), built the addition on our home, people had skills and didn’t waste $ back then . When they built their house , we didn’t have a paved driveway, as that was a luxury . back to gas lol

Got a nest ,hutch ? Along my patio , wife doesn’t like it ,to close to where we sit and eat … Just looked at it , and a few pink noses were poking out , so it stays I guess .

I really feel for the city of rochesters future. Back when I was taking the tests ,3500 took the RPD test . You had to score the top 90s if not 100 and have a squeaky clean background . The last test 127 took the written , not passed took, the there’s the physical agility, Drs Physical, background , and psychological exam yet to,pass . Perhaps they’ll end up with 50 for the next four years of hiring ,and they are already short way more then 50 officers. The ones working now are crushing OT so they’ll leave soon too as their pensions are being boosted by ot , they’re three years without a contract, If they don’t get a good one ,watch more leave , some say If they get a good one since it’s retroactive guys will also leave … The criminals run the city now ,another two or three years it’s going to totally sink the city .

Is that at Oak Hill by me ? Our friends are members there, and a retired cop I know is a cart and bag boy and gets to play for free on Mondays . Anyhow when I was an EMT, I had the opportunity to work those events .

I’m so glad I’ve kept most of my guns, revolvers and pump shotguns included. I almost sold a 9mm handgun I won as how many 9s do I need ? Well all of them ,it seems . I know two guys that bought Kel Tec KSG, today that’s a bullpup pump shotgun with twin tubes for a total of 16 rounds plus one in the launch pad , they’re thinking ahead .

And the gun shop is packed …. Be interesting to see what’s left in a couple weeks .

License and age 21 goes into effect July 7 .an assembly person just said if you have a handgun permit ,you can put them on that .She also said if bought out of state , you can bring it here and not need to have the license . That seems odd yes, but that’s what she said , we’ll see won’t we . Interesting as chance would have it we’ll be touring around a couple states later this month . So glad, my wife and both daughters got their pistol permits . And already own ARs

My prediction, $6 here by Labor Day . The DEF shortage could be interesting , trucks, trains , farm equipment all need it to run .

Brian , how are they working now you’re a few months out ? Saw my eye Dr. Today , Dr Robbins. He won’t prescribe the drops ,to many negatives , detached retina being one .Said it’s an old glaucoma drug that hasn’t been used in some time .

Idk, I’ve never paid near $20 at PNC or St Louie , but I’ll let you know ,in a couple weeks I’ll be at PNC park . And these were 16oz craft beers , standard beers like $7 . Whats good in Pittsburg is you can crush 16oz cans at the bars outside for like $3-$4 bucks prior . Iron City bay !!!

Rochester Redwings crush those hacks from Buffalo 11-2 ! Its not the big show but it’s our show . 20 minute drive , park next to the stadium, Beers still ten bucks though . Game time 2 1/2 hours like God intended.

Ok since Penn. blocks my travels south and they don’t recognize my NY, Fla, and Utah permits I’ve decided to get the Penn one as well . I’ve looked on line for fast easy in / out counties but most seemed to be way East of me . Anywho , I’ll be in Penn at the end of the month , heading to Pittsburg then Virginia, so any place near Erie and on down , I know some Buffalo members got them so I figure there’s a favorable county nearby . What’s taking place on the state and federal level will perhaps be some of the biggest loss of gun rights ever . They lay and wait for times like this to spring into action , for Biden it’s also a chance to try and deflect from how bad inflation is and how clueless he and his staff is on that issue , and hold on you ain’t seen the worst yet, by far . Enjoy getting your gun license to buy a 1022 Ruger fellas , it’ll only take a year or so and cost more then the gun…..
