I have to,ice and elevate my leg a few times a day…..so here we are . Plus we’re not on “ vacation “ where a person tries to cram a bunch of tourist stuff into a couple weeks , we’re just living somewhere else for a couple months . just happens that the beach is right outside our door

As far as gasoline prices, keep in mind we’re using winter gas now , a cheaper blend for cold weather . Summer gas runs about 25 cents more a gallon .

It’s been long known that box store “ safes “ aren’t safes. They don’t meet UL listings , so they made their own “ residential security containers.” There’s no shortage of videos of these safes being opened in a minute or two, my fav is taking the top off a Liberty in two minutes with an angle grinder . Blue label is a Glock program for military , LE, FD ,Ems , DA , court, jail and on and on . other manufacturers have their own program for those fields, none as broad as Glocks program though .

I can’t believe we don’t have an inflation tread so here it is . The talking heads simply say it’s 7.5% which is higher then it’s been in 40 years . Wrong, the CPI is always adjusting what it measures and how it measures inflation , so to compare to 40 years ago and get an honest comparison,you’d have to use the methods used back then . When you do that it comes out closer to 12% ,or so I’ve read . let’s hear your stories

I,like having a full pantry, bank acct. , ammo box, and gas tank , gives me comfort . I,Iike knowing that no matter what happens I can jump in the Subaru and go hundreds of miles if need be . Ask my sister how their trip home from fla was last year , when the hackers shut the pipelines down here, she too started off with a 1/4 tank,spent an extra night as my brother in law drove from empty station to empty station . I don’t mind stopping for gas every few days to,keep it topped it off . Ask those folks that spent a frozen night on I95 and ran out of gas trying to keep warm if filling up at 1/2 tank seems like a better plan . In today’s world it seems prudent .

It’s like $3.50 a gallon here in Fla ! Not to much of an issue overall , and other then the trip home we don’t drive much . As a rule I try not to let it it below 1/2 and not driving much I top it off after I use up the first quarter tank .

So the kidney stones were very painful, the superficial thrombosis ( blood clots ) in my lower leg are painful and require a bit of ice and elevation along with limiting standing and sitting . But the biggest pain is about to arrive , I pick up my sister in law up at the Orlando airport in a couple hours . Travel advice , nobody here wants to pick you up at that airport , and I don’t want to pick her up at any .
