Actually Webster Ny ,where I live .school security is run by a man who retired from the sheriffs dept, at some high rank,he hires retried deputies ,like the guy in the video . One issue I have is the complete lack of any identification of him being “ security.” He also posted some things on social media prior to this that don’t show him in a favorable light .

I don’t believe I’ve ever played a game on my phone or computer . Ok that thing where a bird jumped over ,onto ? Moving things years back .

As a dumb kid from the burbs , I started out in a “ good “ part of the city . Then I floated to a ghetto house . We went to a call, I don’t recall why ,but the kitchen floor was covered in newspapers,which were covered in dog pee and crap, the garage can was overflowing by a foot , roaches on the walls and counter . Yet a few feet away they slept on filthy mattresses on the floor . I thought I really got to work out of this firehouse .

The ones I had issues with ,were the ones we passed out to the citizens …. Since then I simply bite the bullet and pay the $20 a piece at Lowe’s . The reason for the ten year ( cr123a battery ) sealed ones is because folks would remove the battery when burnt food , steam set it off or the low battery beeps , and never replace . I guess they don’t know there’s a silence button on it which kills it for ten minutes, then resets . Many don’t realize any particle will set it off, dust ,steam and so on . Many times some young gal wrapped it a towel would answer the door, not knowing why her “ smoke “ detector went off …. Just one of the perks of the job .

In the FD we called that moving walls, when the roaches all came out of the walls in an adjoining room at a fire .

The only problem I had with them was fires were discovered while still in the incipient stage … They aren’t perfect especially Co det. Based on my experience off 100s maybe 1000s of responses to ‘ det.going off,” most times it’s a low battery beep not full alarm . Then I’d read the back of the det to the person . Lots of beats me why it went off . I had a supply at home , and each one would beep with a new 9v ,I ended up tossing them all .

One of my favorite thing to say is , “ that’s one of the last times I’ll ever do that again .”

Another reason I liked being a Union Member. Went to the ER in Fla for intense pain in my varicose veins , ultra sound ,no clots but I’m to follow up,with a local Dr., call them they never heard of my healthcare , give them the info over the phone so she can check , waiting to hear back . I then call my Union Pres. keep in mind being retired I’m no longer a member . He’s says tons of guys in Fla and should not be any issue , BUT If there is he’ll call our provider and have them call this Dr direct to straighten it out . May seem like a small thing, till you’re in another state trying to navigate these systems on your own .

I hear Hunter is going to be the new crack pipe Czar . For once a position he’s well qualified for ! 10% for the big guy !

I would love to see them shut down DC, and the shipping ports in Calf. There was chatter about shutting down the super bowl, but that may upset to many who otherwise may be supporters . But that would be a great statement , Americans will comply with a bunch of BS for two years , but the Super Bowl is the hill,they’ll die on ……lol

Well when it’s cloudy in Fla you play miniature golf and hit a local brewery ! Daughter leaves tomorrow, sister in law comes the next day for a week ….I see the brewery in my future. Of course sil flys in 75 miles away at a crowed airport , and to damn early of course ,the last year that I’m running a shuttle service . Daughter used a small close by airport and at civil times .

I’ll be back here , very good brews . Sat next to a guy from Geneseo , who was seated next to a guy from Buffalo …

friend of a friend had his firewood slowly disappear , I was told,he drilled out a piece packed it with some sort of black powder/ gun powder . Story goes a guys wood stove blew up pushing out the back wall as well .

Daughter got here Thursday night for a long weekend , beach day Friday ,but it’s been cloudy since ,so tourist stuff . Today a Fla FD local had a chili contest at a park . Some good chili ! And decent beers .

Key Lime pie and a bowl of fruit , big glass of cranberry juice mixed with water .

If we won real, money ( not a couple million ) I’d buy something on Canandaigua Lake for the summer , but make Tenn. our home . I’d offer each kid a couple million to relocate with us . Actually if the kids moved cancel the Lake house here .

For me having it plowed has more negatives then using my ‘74 Ariens . You can see the giant piles he leaves , it’s hard to see getting out of the driveway , your driveway gets narrower, yard dug up and driveway sometimes damaged . Plus backblading leaves hard packed snow on it . Heres my piles and my neighbors driveway down to pavement using my ‘74 which chews through the heaviest deepest snow with ease . Theres a service here that uses a large drivable snowblower avoids all the negatives ,something you may want to look into .

And in the late ‘70s my buddy made enough trapping rats over a four week Christmas break to pay the next semesters tuition at a local private college .

I heard it may be snowing up,there ? Just in from the beach , daughter flew in last night ,$250 round trip , here for a long weekend . Florida is really messed up Jeopardy is on BEFORE The Wheel !!! Backwards hillbillies .
