I have an old set of bibs,maybe 15 years old? Along with a over sized long sleeve t shirt. Sure it's quiet it's all cotton. The bibs well they er bib over all's kind of baggy but noting gets in the way. I need to get a new set ,pants,jacket. The issue is can't try it on before hand what with mail order. I know this is not much help, but my stuff is old and the bibs not a tailor fit.

Can only speak of ASAT. Put me in the love it Category , I'll be wearing it in 4 hours for my last bow sit of the year. It just seems when I wear it and deer look up, they just look away un concerned. I get already for the "Oh crap im busted" , then it's " oh no he s relaxed still".

The sale of Girl Scout cookies where I live was moved from,early Fall to January. For the first hunting season of my life ,like since the ,70's I have no Girl Scout cookies to take afield. If I don't score I know who to blame. Oh and being the Dad of two former Girl Scouts,who the heck thinks delivering them in the dead of winter, when it's dark,cold and deep snow is a good idea?

Sunrise where I hunt is 7 05. Maybe 6 20 ish. I'm on private ground the stand I'm using is at the corner of a thicket 900 feet in from the road. No one is pushing deer towards me unless it's out of the front yards across I don't have to beat anybody in,or let the woods quite down because I don't go in ' em more then a few yards. I'll park walk in a clover field to a drainage ditch follow that for 100 yards climb up ladder sit down the end. 5 minutes from parking on stand. The stand sits on edge of woods along drainage ditch with 30 foot wide mowed path along ditch ,and 100 yard wide mowed other side of thicket.

I ll be part of the .357 crowd. SW 586. I figure since I have a handgun on me most times anyway might as well deer hunting. It's the only time this one sees daylight and I do,love that gun ,shoots great.

Thanks for posting the hunter density map. When in Montana I told a guy where we had hunted in Montana ,he wanted to know why we hunted such a hiqh pressure spot. Ha ha ha, we had about 2 miles of river bottom and over the 5 days I saw 2 other guys and one was way on top in the alpha field looking down In The bottom about a half mile away. Another spot by buddy goes to you can see 300 deer a day and no hunters . My buddy here bought 60 acres, the first opening day he kicked off 17 trespassers ,that's hunting pressure .

Where I hunt its small farm lots with large crops fields between ,not to many others close. The first shot on our spot is usually mine..... Not 6 30 though. Last year it was my daughter. My buddies text me, " what d u get? " I replied that was Kathy shooting. Figures ..... They'd reply. He like father like daughter. I did pick her spot .

Sure will do later today. Prior to getting it I thought of running a board under the stand so it hangs out the field side,then using a shooting stick off that.

Rut what rut. I have hunted the same spot for over 25 years, this year I have yet to see chasing,I see young bucks cruising looking in fields and such,have not heard a grunt, a fight or seen any chasing . Weird year.lots of trials coming off the front cut corn into thick stuff, some new rubs,deer tracks in wheel tracks where combine drove by the day before. See one to three young bucks by themselves . I hope its in full swing Sat. ! Oh 8h

I think I bow hunted more this season then most others past. Saw great bucks early,before crops cut ground plowed,routes changed. Passed many young bucks never had a shot I would take at a shooter one. Went this morning nothing from a top stand with a view of a thicket bucks always pop out of looking for does,zero not grunts crunching nothing. Moved a stand for gun. I'm off till the 22nd, only going once more in bow,I'm burnt out. I'm gong to walk the dog go to the gym,sleep in. I'll be where I can't kill 'em on the couch, and I can't wait.

I told her don't get in a big fight because you hunt 2x a year. He s ok though. Can't hit the broadside of a barn.... 9mm a few paces he said to her "its ok you can protect the house" . I said we ll work on it Ed.

So my oldest (23) calls, her boyfriend the future surgeon is coming for Thanksgiving a big step I guess. She tells him oh btw I always hunt Thanksgiving morning with my Dad, he's says well then I might not come. See while not a anti hunter he's not a fan of it, not like he tosses blankets over my deer heads though. She tells him look I'll always hunt, the meat will always be in my house and my kids will eat it and hunt ! At a girl ! I tell her don't make a big issue out of it, each except the others views, more back straps for us. Turns out though I'm working "days" on turkey day, so he gets a break this year.

Saw one young 8pt,only stayed on stand till 9 30 , by then the guy running the combine had pushed out 5 shooter bucks....... But that field is a couple miles from me.go figure. Was going to rest till Monday or tue. May hit it this afternoon if wind stays down.

The farm I hunt is getting two hundred yield per acre on thee best fields as of today.

Always liked trad. Country, years ago the newer stuff was pretty good,the last ten years or so they lost me. Some alt.country is good though. But the top 40 corporate country, well that's not country just bad rock and roll.

Zero deer this AM. Went to My one stand that does not get hit by the wind. They were cutting corn couple hundred yards away,nothing seen from combine either although said big 8 is still around. This 8 you would not believe we have trail cam pics of him jaw dropping. Been real slow lately . I think I'll go,Sat. AM then M,T,W. Then reset for gun. This plan subject to change ......

270 I just bought is grouping playing card size groups. Rests for tree stands,open crop fields for half mile or more in 3 directions from my woods,brush lots. I remember when I Got my ML I was grouping well at 150 yards, shot my opening day buck at 30 .....
