Bumped 1 buck on walk in that’s it deer wise. Coyotes, raccoons, turkeys everywhere , crows . Havent been to this stand since last year , I need to trim a lot !

Mod 11 as others said I had my Fathers in 12ga . I sold it years back with a bunch of others at an auction , I’m sorry but I don’t recall the price, oh I also killed my first buck,with that gun .

Bingo , I’ve found six explosions / fires there in the last 20 years or so the last one being in this past June . wonderful benefits , The trick is not to get killed , that’s really the key to the benefits program .

It s good to put money into “ things “ ie guns , ammo, food, canning supplies ,garden tools and seeds, hand tools ,power tools , generators ( solar and gas ) a fully equipped RV with multiple propane tanks both on it and stored . Oh and land and PM . But you must do,it ahead of time . Fortunately my wife is of the belief that they’ll take our money , (just look at the way they want to track cash transactions of $600 and the move to cashless society ) so I can buy pretty much anything and every thing with no issues . A couple months in Fla coming up as well as booking a trip to Alaska , we’re buying things and memories. My one concern is accessing our safe deposit, as they’ll lock that down PDQ. Loved Bob Gibson , super competitive. He said he played 100’s of games of tic tac toe with his young daughter , and she has never beat him ! Lol

I need to,do that . My side hurts from taking out a window AC today , getting any sizable deer into the bed alone has been doable ,but not easy ! I lug them out in a Jet Sled , I need some sort of ramp or pipes to slide them up .

From the truth is stranger then fiction dept. the gunsmith found a live round behind the action !!! Don’t know how, but Joe said he had the magazine out and was loading one at a time, which would mean you kinda have to tip it sideways I guess to,load it , somehow a round got in some open space and up inside . The thing is I’d figure he’d have to wonder where it went before trying to, load another ? Anyways it’s out ,the gun is deep cleaned and ready to rock , but he wants to shoot again soon to be sure things are still on . I Recommend using the mag .

I was speaking in general terms, to Biz asking about locks . This product is wonderful, but you can’t use it on the door you leave through . My daughter has them on all three doors, when they leave it’s through the door into the garage as the garage is locked as well once the overhead door goes down . Plus all jams are reinforced. I like to walk in as I can just start to see, as I walk in along farm fields and glass them as I go . Leads to far less blowing them out of the fields and allows me to stop , and set up short or change to a different stand altogether. If I’m going with someone who,likes to be in while it’s dark ,I’ll go so I’m up maybe ten minutes in the dark . Friday shooting light is 6:40 AM so I’ll be at the stand close to 6:40 . Maybe 6:30 as I think the ratchet strap is still loose and the strap for my safety line isn’t in place yet either , not sure if there’s a haul line ….

The “ key “ is to reinforce the jams and hinges , locks matter little it’s always the jams that fail with a kick or two . At least a six inch strike plate mortised into the jam ,and six, four inch screws that go into the stud and not just the half inch trim piece . Ive done this on every door at my home and every apartment my kids rented .

My hunting partner is in Boston visiting his daughter/ granddaughter. He’s a big Yankee fan ( I don’t hold that against him ) I’m sure they went to some games .

That was the most bizarre infield fly rule ,not rule , called time out , double play not double, play . So,glad they won especially after Cubs 2nd baseman tackled O’Neil on the passed ball at second base .

I’m certainly not a farmer, but from what I’ve seen, they do get low spots but that’s where it was really wet in that part when they planted . Our beans are green starting to turn yellow . Everyone says once they brown up the deer don’t show anymore , that’s never been my experience, perhaps because they always cross the bean field I sit on no matter what . Here’s our normal height .
