Went to a wake at the Memorial Art Gallery, typical Nomad event, string quartet, speeches by University Presidents, Chairman of the boards and various other fancy type folks . They did however have Ruby Red to wash down the weird snacks , they did need bigger plates though , I’ll bring my own next time .

They still make me nervous in the last two innings !

It’s been fun lately , everyone’s coming together .

So my friend and i shot yesterday and his old 35 REM. Pump locked up in the rear position. He brought it to a shop the guy said 50/50 he could fix it , needs to take it apart to know for sure, and he can’t get to it till Saturday. Just wondering if any of you guys had a similar experience at some point . Thanks

It’s crazy Doc . We had 6 couples / families visit this year who have moved out of NYS . We went to two,parties this summer for two others that are leaving , today at lunch with my sister I,learned my niece just bought a place in Tenn. and is relocating. My sisters ,sister in law is also leaving , her parents also just left . A couple we play cards with once a month just sold their home and are moving to NC, another couple who we only see when our friends who moved to Tenn. come up are also leaving . My other sister is making their Fla home their “ official “ residence selling their large home here and buying a small one for the summers , my hunting partner is doing the same thing for now , but may move full time if their daughter will move her family down . About every couple weeks we learn of someone we know leaving .

The Kids just got to keep his mouth shut and lawyer up . Not on his side but that’s the way things work , this case will go entirely on a confession or nothing .

He’s from Northport Fla. an area we’ve wintered in before , not a large swamp land area from what I recall . There is a large state park Myakka river SP, it’s sizable but its a popular hiking , biking , boating type area as well .

Well got a new gun stand spot , all up and ,mostly cleared today . It’s the red spot, the “ x “ are two spots I’m covering and the circle is a high traffic area but hard to shoot that close in there due to how high the thick stuff is I’m in . The farm to the south of me is cutting corn today . Mixed feelings it’s a few hundred less acres for them to hide in , but it’s a bad sign for having food sources during the season . It’s all beans and corn by me . I’d better take a good buck early in bow while the beans are still here .

Joe and I shot our hunting rifles today at my range . A little scope adjustment and things are dialed in well . Then blasted a few boxes worth of handgun ammo . No pictures as cameras aren’t allowed on the Webster Militia Proving Grounds .

They were a fairly popular social media couple , they would show up on my Instagram and Pinterest . So their life style and blogs make for an interesting story I guess . Off to my gun range .

It’s a common ranking system on many forums . A forum is only as good as it’s members make it , the more one participates , helps , guides new people and so on the better the place is . “ Badges are simply a way of acknowledging those efforts . Kinda like Boy Scout badges , the more you do the higher rank .

Surly you’re not denying that outside of heredity, many of the risk factors are a result of lifestyle choices ,that can be eliminated and greatly reduce the risk . No shot required .

The Buffalo Bills will require vaccine proof starting at their next home game , I’m wondering if any teams had that in place at their first game ? It’ll be interesting to see the lines and if any back ups , when MLB first used hand held metal detectors, some weren’t getting to their seats till the 5th inning . Showing a card and picture Id for some guard to look at and compare names and faces seems like it’ll cause a delay X tens of thousands, oh and they like everyone are short staffed as well .

I went many many years with never wearing my wedding ring , work as not kind to it or my finger . Many guys today wear a silicone one at work .

This whole thread shows why I’m not a fan of scoring and “ record books .” Also “ world record “ according to who ? Some group with a set of rules ? That’s not a “ world record” that’s their record . Either way scrap the whole tape measure thing and just hunt .

Guy a few houses away fell from a ladder just a few rungs up , he ended up loosing a foot .

Same here . One of my proudest days was when the youngest asked why we had “ life in prison.” I said well society has deemed that some people are so dangerous,that we don’t want them walking among us . She simply said , “ I get that , but why don’t we just kill them ?” Ah out of the mouths of babes ….
