    If i shoot a deer and i lose sight of it and then another hunter shoots it ,it's their deer. I should have done a better job when it was my time.

    I hunt 9P ,they have never given out doe tags since ive been hunting there . There is a bunch of camps all over and anything with antlers gets killed ,Every year we start over with baby bucks .

    That's a lousy buck to doe ratio , i've been hunting a place like that for the lat 12 years.

    24 hours ,how long did it take you to make that up ? I was guessing you would have large window of what is considered a fatal shot.

    Fishing the power plant is only decent if the number one turbine is turned on (the one closet to the pier) I would start in the corner closet to the wall . It forms a nice whirlpool that you can throw something bright (white or chartreuse twister) into that whirlpool . If there are other people fishing that corner ,there is an order of casting that works so everyone can get a drift . I typically stay away from fishing the power plant all together. You can fish from it anywhere and usually catch sheephead if that is something you're into.

    How can anyone say for sure it was a dead deer from the first shot ? Have you seen the stuff processors pull out of a deer?

    I found a couple ,the style I want is hard to find . I want a seat that folds up and a full size platform. I can't stand the fixed seat and the little platform. Seems most ladder stands are made for gun hunters.

    I got one of the green jobbers as well. It works good . I was actually looking around for one with a wider mouth that I could eat soup out of.

    Great deer and a helluva beard on that guy.

    My dad eats it ,he slices it and pan fries it with some salt and pepper and just cuts around the stuff he doesnt want.

    I remember when that deer was shot . A guy at work showed me the picture of the deer that his buddy shot ,his buddy actually photoshopped his face and was telling people he shot that buck. I pulled the original photo from this site and showed him and then he texted the original photo back to his buddy.

    Maybe he was there for 37 years ,maybe he did have a blind in place . You were there first ,either he deals with it or leaves .

    Some guys won't cape it for you ,not sure why. You would think they would want it done their way.

    I did my first one this year with my buddy who shot that monster. It was extremely easy to do . There is videos on YouTube that show you how to do it.
