  1. Somewhere I have 35mm pics of myself bent over a motel bathtub with a piece of plywood resting between the sides of the tub. ON the plywood is an antelope quarter. We killed three pronghorns that day and yours truly got the honors of skinning/quartering in the field then "bathtub butchering" of said quarters to be frozen for a return flight...... The do not disturb sign was used on that day. Needless to say my cleaning and restoration business experience came in handy after the deed was done.
  2. Nice! I think you'll get a kick out of it, it certainly adds a new dimension to your hunting. Mostly for me it shows me the bucks I'm likely to NEVER kill. Seriously though, all the extra critters I've gotten on the cam are well worth the price of admission IMO. Woodchucks NOWHERE near a field along with coon, fox, coyote, bear, flying squirrel, bear, fisher, rabbit, opossum, grouse, skunk, turkey, mink (maybe more I forgot about??) round out my list of "Caught On Camera" stars. What are you going to do, run it in picture or video mode?
  3. That's great rob. What does she want to hunt?
  4. Spike, spikes, 3pt, 4pt, 5pt, 6pt, 7pt, 8pt etc.............to each their own of course. The taxi will be thrilled.....
  5. You'll regret it someday, even IF you have the wall space.
  6. AS moog said, it's an arrow fletching jig. If all 6 clamps are there, it could be worth $50-$75 all day long. No flies on the Jo Jan Jig..........

    Drone

I know nothing about them but I'll admit to being fascinated with Google Earth and would really enjoy viewing exactly what I wanted, when I wanted. Imagine that thing at a place like Harriet Hollister Spencer Park? Cool..........
  8. Slick Trick Magnum 100gr for quite a few years but this year I'm going with Slick Trick Viper's in 100gr also. So far so good as far as arrow flight goes.........
  9. Just saw this post.......yes, I use Bob Parker's Ballistic Extreme 275 grain bullets and have had terrific results with them in my NULA smokeless ML. I only really had interest in one other bullet when I started my search for the right bullet and that was from Barnes. IIRC Melvin Forbes pointed me in that direction; he only liked the flat base bullets, something about the boat tail variant he didn't like. They shot pretty good and I could have easily stayed with them but then I read about the Parker's. I bought some and tried one or two loads and I was done.......man are they good! Remember these pictures? I don't recall the particulars of it but I'm leaning towards that being the end result of a dead deer........most all just pass right on through, not that one though.
  10. Used it for 30 years in the restoration business. I was always cognizant of the warnings and took it serious. Great results most of the time but profitable 100% of the time......... That said, you couldn't pay ME to use the stuff for hunting.......Jeez, we're hunting deer, not fighting the enemy.
  11. Here you go slick....... http://hawkeyebowmen.com/
  12. Don Shaw is the only real connection I have on the road other than my buddy skillet...........two good eggs.
  13. You're running a business aren't you?
  14. IIRC the owners of this site let people advertise after they've paid for it. I could be wrong though.............
  15. I didn't meant it (first time) in a smart ass way, it just typed that way..... Any single pin will work as you've suggested but the vertical pin is better for many than the horizontal for the reason I've mentioned.
  16. In all my years I never used more than one when they were used in the horizontal position then when the single pin sliders were invented by some mad scientist I jumped on that PDQ. I liked the idea that I could come up on a target or animal from down below it and not block one side of my sight picture. Get it?
  17. Two lifetimes or three? 'cause they already run one lifetime, easy.
  18. My uncle's place was on Swartz Rd, right off Garlinghouse. Many great memories in that area..... Monkey Run USED to go all the way down to Feather Street IIRC. You go that way growie?
  19. At the "worlds"? See turkeyfeathers, I told you he was a Pro. Good thing he didn't come today. The worst I could do today was come in second......and I did.
  20. Hey Eddie, Happy Birthday! 75 is quite a milestone, congrats.......I hope you have had a great day and a better evening.
  21. We did end up going and we had fellow member here Turkeyfeathers (not a bowhunter, YET) tag along for 20/30 targets. He had plans with his family for later in the morning so at least we got to finally meet!! As usual, my "internet instinct" was spot on......he's a good guy!! The shooting went pretty good; I never missed and only skipped one across the ground into the target. Well organized, great courses and good food.....my kind of day!!
  22. I'm always on the lookout for one of the Honda eu2000i units but haven't found the right deal (almost above here!!) yet. And as far as new, it's pretty tough to find a blowout sale.
  23. Ahhhhh, a smart ass. I like your style...............
  24. No (Bot) flies on a Caesar Guerini............ My buddy Clark has couple/three IIRC.
