Damn it, I just typed out a long winded response and hit the back button and lost the entire post. So......yes, I smoke a stogie or two. Bad habit I know!! I started MANY years ago......when I was about 14 or 15 IIRC. I would swing the big hammer to ring the bell at the local carnivals. 3 swings for a buck and win a cheap smoke. Great start on a lousy habit............................. These days its just a Garcia Vega Crystal or similar usually. If a high end smoke is passed my way I'll happily oblige though. In the house? Ever hear of Lorena Bobbit? That's what'd happen to the unit......................

No snow sticking here.......just flurries in the air, cool and damp. Another dingy day.......... On the bright side, I just cracked a beer. We are having 12 here today for the ham feast. My sister and brother and their respected families bring a dish to pass. I bought some Riesling, Molson and Southern Tier Brewery beer "Live". Oh and some Black Box Malbec if someone wants. The Southern Tier is uncharted waters so I figured I crack one to wash down the Reese's Egg and turkey sandwich.......dinner is at 6pm. Casserole's are GTG, rolls, butter lamb etc. are all set. House is cleaner than it has been since Thanksgiving (yea, we host that one too) and the dog is brushed. Kids are working until 2pm and 4pm. That's all for now, have a good time. Man what a beautiful big bear. THAT would be the bear I'd hope to go by me.........when I have the 'Ol 243 in my hands just to put the nay sayers to rest. That really is the bear of a lifetime, IMO. Great vids, thanks.

How about some range and gun pics to pick this baby up? Do I have a fave? Yea, whatever gun gets the nod that day! I pretty much enjoy them all. Certain guns will be grabbed before others depending on the task at hand. Please don't ask me to choose one.............................. BUT, if I had to choose one for deer in NYS I think at this point it'd be a NULA 243. I really enjoy the handling of this one. Ain't a deer or bear that is walking away from a 80gr TTSX, IMO.

Damn man, you're probably up to the top of your waders in Naples Creek and I'm going to work. What's wrong with THIS picture? Breakfast at the Redwood should taste great after a few hours chillin' on the Creek. What a beautiful morning (from my view 75 miles away) it is, I hope the minnows are salty, the egg sacks bright and the worms wiggly for ya. Hopefully heavy creels and pics to follow!

I can't add much to it technically but I switched to a single vertical HHA pin a number of years ago and have been very happy with it. 17 yards is where it sits 95% of the time and that covers all I'm looking to do.

Awesome Red! Must have been chilly in the temps we had, I saw it was zero in Arcade this morning! I used to hunt across Rt 321 (I think thats right) from Willow Bay. Only late season flintlock stuff but it was a blast........ See any deer? I don't think there are many down there anymore, the state has really whacked 'em in that area. How about ice fishing, you guys do that? Any pics from your weekend?

Great pics! As usual you hang some great ones. What a day we had today here in WNY! I took a walk also today but I was over in Ontario County. I carried in the snowshoes but didn't need them, when I got down the driveway I found the snow was hard as concrete and I stayed right on top. Although it was slick I'm pretty good on my feet. After I broke out onto the west facing hillside I found no snow at all! Saw some turkey and deer and just enjoyed the heck out of myself.
