  1. I'd bet there are lots of hunters that don't even know the season is open in some areas......and for those that DO know, many don't have a lick of interest. I don't understand why we can'y get a season similar to Pennsylvania; 2 1/2-3 weeks AFTER Christmas. Then you'd have my attention.
  2. AND…..a large piece of cardboard, steady bench, quality front and rear bags add to your success and can save much frustration when sighting in a new gun.
  3. Good glass is money well spent unless your shooting pop cans and the breeze. Even then you'll be money ahead with quality optics.......
  4. Shot the 7mm-08 yesterday at my steel target, 273 yards from a stable bench and rock solid rest. 120gr TTSX Barnes bullets. I didn’t have much time but wanted to take a few shots anyway. Three shot group.
  5. I’m a 8N (it’s open in this unit) 8H and 9H guy anyway but like I mentioned, I don’t have any interest in shooting one today. I think it’s a few weeks to early (at a minimum) to orphan fawns and holding out for a dry doe while swatting flies, squishing mosquitoes and keep an eye out for the occasional brown recluse hasn’t tripped my trigger to hunt today or this week. Plus, I have a birthday party to go to tonight and don’t want to complicate things. I’m heading out shortly to monkey with camera cards, replace some lifelines, shoot steel and visit with a couple friends.
  6. I wasn’t going to hunt today anyway but I couldn’t if I wanted to as I haven’t got my doe permits yet!!!
  7. I drove by your house at least ten times this week; 4 yesterday and twice today at a minimum. How the heck can that thing NOT fall on its own?!?!
  8. I just had the driveway sealed last Friday and stained the deck a month ago. New family room windows will be coming in the end of this month, hopefully we (me and a couple guys from work) can get them installed fairly soon after. I’d KILL to have my dream team of Dinsdale and Taco Tim install them while I kept them hydrated and nourished instead!!
  9. 15 bird limit…..wow two guys limiting out and you’d need a dump truck to haul them out.
  10. As I recall, Canada Goose season opened September 1st for the entire state. Anyone go?
  11. My buddy who lives in Colorado was bow hunting elk last Monday and had a mountain lion go by him at 5 yards.......he said it scared the bee-jesus out him but was one of the collest things he's EVER seen.
  12. If that's the jacket that I believe it is and not a shirt, absolutely.......
  13. That Woolrich red & black is a beauty........it's a wonderful jacket.
  14. I’d say your fortunate that it’s coming. All the computer chips are in it? (Hopefully)
  15. Cardboard and pallets ain’t a bad option.
  16. I don't doubt you guys at all. It just seems noticeably quieter to me in my basement pro shop......one thing that troubles me is that only one of the set screws is doing its job, the other is free wheeling.
  17. Nice condition. Is that a 2006 Avalanche? A friend had one and it was great.
  18. Doe draw bucks or so I’ve been told…. I can totally understand your lack of motivation Brian. Hopefully as the leaves and temperatures start to fall your interest will peak. I’d put big money on Moog all day every day to be a pot winner, stay tuned!!!
  19. Hart has been doing it for years. https://www.hartbarrels.com/contact_us_a/83.htm
  20. No kidding? We have property interest there. Hopefully the single wide isn’t tits up…..it was just painted and looking like a million bucks. (Maybe not that much?!?!)
