  1. If it wasn't for the crap they leave everywhere and their refusal to move out of your cars path they might be more palatable.
  2. Robs right. I don't remember any minorities or females in season 1... If their MO holds true they give the most air time initially to the early dropouts so we shall see Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. yeah I can't remember for sure. I just feel like with a bag full of gear I could at least make it a few days
  4. I was driving between Ontario and Syracuse last week and when I was on the beginning part of 370 just after 104 there's some old beaten down houses. Freakin tom roosting on the top of one of the roof peaks!
  5. I'm sure that got your attention. I prefer to breast out my turkeys, what are your favorite recipes?
  6. I have an 03 chevy rust bucket that I bought with 113k on it so I can't complain all that much as I have no idea how it was treated. I'm annoyed at the brake lines more than anything. It's not an expensive job at all, but very difficult and not easy. Top it off with everything being rusted and it's really a pain. Shame on them for using that grade metal though. Read online there's an ongoing push to suit their asses over it. Right now I have CEL that's been on for 3 years due to a vac leak somewhere, and the abs kicks on at every slow speed stop. The tires are bad and I'm just hoping to be in a position this fall to get rid of her. But working on buying a new house right now, so we shall see. It's funny to hear the window regulator stories. I thought that was a fluke for me. Driving into the woods last fall and the temps were in the 40's. I have to stop and get a permit at the public land and the window which had been pretty slow up and down decided it had made its last trip up. It's not fun sitting in a stand knowing you have to fix your truck and not knowing how much of a pain it'll be and that you'll be cold as hell on the highway driving home. Thank god for youtube and an advance down the street. Had that done pretty quickly but wasn't what I wanted to do at 7pm on a Saturday night because rain was coming.
  7. all my cams are at least 5 years old. So my experience is really not valuable
  8. really feeling the black flash but you pay for them. Have had good luck with Moultrie's and not so good luck with spypoint. those are the 2 that I run that were gifted to me.
  9. season 1 a guy quit the first night because of bears, but iirc in his defense he was at least sleeping and there were bears around. Desmond was acting like a dude that's never even been in the woods before.
  10. I get it. I've seen this statement a dozen times on various forums, and even in regards to presidential elections and people threatening to leave to Canada. My response has always been that at it's core this site is great. I've learned tons, enjoyed countless hours here and don't want to see it fail because of a few members political onslaught. So just leaving (as a few prominent members have done recently) isn't something anyone really "wants" in the end. What I believe the majority of members want is an improved experience, not a take everything or leave it decision.
  11. the fact that redneck liked this comment is hilarious. Wing nuts can be both left and right.
  12. My father in-law has the GMC Canyon all terrain. Loaded and beautiful.
  13. I've lived down south and north. There are cultural differences I don't have the time to explain. But to discount the cost of living, the small government that doesn't get involved in your life and let's you do your thing is not to be taken lightly. I can buy any gun, I don't have to inspect my car and there aren't any red light cameras. Urban south suffers the same issues urban north does. Rural south suffers the same issues as urban north. The big differences is that those that are willing to work will crush it down south. Literally have money handed to you just for showing up. That's not the case up north and unfortunately there's a percentages of southerns who don't want to work.
  14. If it wasn't for the clubhouse and some crazy responses then this thread would have died a week ago. Thank the "clubhouse" for the traffic.
  15. You get what you get with used electronics. Anything other than the first week or so and its his.
  16. Lawn work is therapy for me. Time on the mower with tunes, sun and the smell of fresh cut grass? Instant gratification? Surprised to hear the hatred from outdoorsman.
  17. I want to be clear, I have no problem with the survey and applaud you for putting it together, I was just giving what I thought was constructive criticism. Never put you or the survey down, re-read my fist 2 posts and read your response and tell me who sounds "deplorable"
  18. Great hike with dad and son. Pulled some cams and even found a shed
  19. there's some research out there that shows over cleaning guns can be worse than not cleaning. it's really funny how varying the methods are.
  20. Let us know how she shoots. Looks don't kill whitetails!
  21. Haha I caught that this morning when I read it again. Was hoping nobody noticed... But i did have an interesting Saturday night [emoji41]
