I saw a tree full of Burls in the Maine backwoods, I was so excited I took a pic and showed my wife and kids. They were not as excited, haha I deleted the pic or I would share it.

Here is my boy's first bird from a few weeks back, its a memory he and I will share for a life time. He is a lucky kid, he gets to hunt with us where ever we travel too. He has already been to Maine with us and next I am planning a trip west. Maine will be a given just about every year I think.

Remember the owl that went on the endangered list and shut down a logging industry? That will be next in the west, no more BLM mining deals, no more grazing cattle...nothing. If a rancher was granted owner ship of said lands there would be nothing to stop the destruction of the land. BLM is bad enough but at least the people have a say in what projects they go after. This is why there is a lot of work done to help the Sage Grouse from going endangered (By the BLM), once it does, its lights out for every one.

I am going away from screw in steps, I prefer the ladder sections like rapid rails ect. All you need to do is take the bottom section with you when you leave so no one will get in your stand and it won't harm the tree if that's an issue. Screw in steps are a pain in the butt if you ask me, I carry in a cordless drill and predrill a hole to get the steps started in. I always end up in a sweat setting them up.

You just described us crossing the border into and out of Canada a few times. lol Our dogs will scare the crap out of anyone that gets to close to the truck, house, yard, well you get the picture.

Got cha, personally I am not concerned with what folks feed their dogs because I understand that some folks can't afford the type of food others can and may not need the higher quality. Totally makes sense to me.

Yea some of us do, so what! My dogs are important to me and don't just lay around the house, I guess if I had one of those types it would be different. 1. Dogs ain't cheap, would you put 87 octane in a sports car? 2. I use them for hunting and need them to be in good shape 3. I invest a lot of money training said dogs and would not want it to go to waste by having it pass away early or not perform up to snuff.

I have had them gobble at car doors slamming, the action on my brothers 11-87 and the train that rolls through the valley. I have used a mouth call and made a screech sound on occasion too. You never know what will set them off.

If you have a better quality food you don't need additives like fish oil, just saying.

The biker culture-a bunch of beyond middle aged fat men in vest's that are to tight that are real scary on their yuppy bikes and 85 Honda's. We feed Nutri source, check on recalls from whatever brand you like. I would never feed any brand that is heavy on grain, fillers and has a list of recalls. But, our dogs require a better food to stay in the best shape for hunting. The first three ingredients listed are the key, if it says corn or other non-protein skip it. Purina is most often recommended but they put a lot into marketing and give always.
