    Heading to a doe honey hole, no intentions of shooting but scouting for dad and Xbow. A big doe won’t get a pass tho.

    Serious temp drop, deer all over at my work. Very windy though.

    climbers can be tough with lack of branches and foliage to break you up. but the two main things that get you busting are scent and movement.

    lighted nock has been a lifesaver for me once finding a dead deer. pushing that deer may actually help him in the long run to get that deer bleeding again if the broad head is inside.

    I just pretty much ran to my stand 15 mins ago.

    This is basically how i do mine and i do 8-10 a year. Unless im quartering them then i hang but the head, You DO NOT NEED A SAW anywhere on a deer, the head, legs, hips all have joints you go in between with your knife. I use a 2" blade and find it much closed to control when taking the meat off then a 6' curved victorinox boning knife.

    Already killed a pa doe with my cross gun, my buck with my vertical. Ill be sporting an xbow on sat whether I’m in Ny or PA.

    This is the first year anything actually worked for me, I had deer coming up the hill with the wind, ran into my dragline and came right too me. A little bit goes a long way also.

    Just over border from ny in PA, bucks were chasing off other bucks and after does all thurs-sat. Mature bucks too.

    if she only ran 20 yards i woulda slept in that tree for 4-5 hours. Temp is fine id go look at about 10, get a buddy if you can to keep a look ahead while you blood track, bring toilet paper and mark the trail.

    Welp the morning only showed 3 deer, the smallest of which was right in front of us at 9 yards. A 7 year old whose never shot a deer had the ok to shoot but he wanted to let her grow another year. That concludes youth season for us, we saw deer every sit from 2-5 with a couple nice bucks.

    He says he’s ready now, i forgot the earplugs the first time and that was his main concern, so the plugs are in the blind now.
