    I watched "Blazing Saddles" when it came out...so funny and I do not recall people complaining or the world crumbling under my feet. RIP Mr. Wilder.

    I haven't used the screw-in steps since I went the tree stand ladder route years ago, but if you have to use them, space them so that you can climb up and down comfortably. I would think twice about screwing in steps into Oak, Cherry, maple trees due to their timber value. Unless you own the property, I would ask the property owner about your thoughts on screw-in steps. He/she may frown apon the idea.

    As mentioned before, that big allen screw at bottom should be the way to go...maybe a gentle tap will move the housing.

    I may still hunt after a few hours to break up the morning, but sit tight the last few hours of daylight in the PM. Seems to break up the boredom sometimes.

    Had a couple Screaming Eagle portable hang on's. Thought it was state of the art...then we got to thinking about that chain that wrapped around the tree and hooked on to a welded hook. If hook gave way, I was dead. recycled them and bought ladder stands. Mucho safer.

    Mr. Trump won fair and square. The party, if it was an honest party, should unite behind the guy. Obvious corruption within the party. Just as bad for the Dems. If people are worried about Trump, consider that if he wins, he will serve his one term, an example of a person who wants to serve his country, then return to private life....OK...OK...one helluva private life.

    I sit all day on opener of rifle...maybe move a little to get warm, but stay in the neighborhood I chose. Call my buds on the radio to break the boredom. Much prefer bowhunt.
