  1. Must be built in obsolescence...they want you to buy more stuff I guess.
  2. Those that have the nerve to trespass should have the nerve to call an outfitter and arrange for a hunt somewhere and enjoy 5 or 6 days of fun. Yes that costs a few buck, but it is the quality of the experience that should motivate people. Sneaking around trespassing doesn't sound like fun to me.
  3. Our property is already being trespassed on, with the occasional ATV...even had a couple people show up in our woods on horseback...Geo- cachers too. Sorry, but we do not need any more headaches than we already have.
  4. Got a blast of rain in Olean at 5 am....here comes some more!!!
  5. Black Angus burgers with all the trimmings and salad
  6. pond down about 2 feet after 11 days of draining...End of July should be down another 2 feet.
  7. Learned to trim back the first Broccoli head so as to allow more heads to grow. Tomatoes ok. Thank God Tops is around the corner.
  8. They would rather have kids waste time playing find Pokemon, or other fool stuff. Ridiculous.
  9. I did start a siphon with 2 - 75 foot lengths of 1 inch plastic pipe on July 2nd. A friend will check on siphon in a couple of days. Do not think I will have a plug problem. I stuck the ends of pipe into an old egg crate and covered with some scrap window screening and floated out to spot where it needed to be , then sunk the crate by shooting out the balloon float with 22
  10. My wife would be lost without me.
  11. Cutting grass. trimming hedges, painting, gardening, cleaning cat litter....kicking the cat makes me feel a little better.,
  12. We stayed at Art Devil's Olympic Motor inn in LP and enjoyed the accommodations. A pool is on site also. Walking distance to most everything. LP has some little green trolleys that can take you to places. Whiteface Mt. was cool, although I had to step away from the edge at the parking lot. Dang high up there, but fun.
  13. ....plus a cat stroller. Strolling my son in his stroller was great, but i draw the line at strolling a cat...maybe over a cliff....
  14. My wife insists that turkey vultures attack smaller, live prey. I tell her that they mostly swoop in on dead stuff by locating the dead with their sense of smell. My wife tells me I'l nuts and leaves HER cats only outside in a cat tent.
  15. Nice to see that the area was developed from basically nothing, but the price to dock is nor right, nor are the tourist trap restaurant prices. Not too many shade trees around. We went to a wedding on one of those bridges last summer, and it was not much fun having sun beat down on you. Couldn't wait to leave. The place certainly gets a lot of free advertising from the "news" channels...always pushing people to come on down. Not for me. Of course, I'm not much for the city life.
  16. Done. Got a feeling that decisions have already been made on deer management and my survey will be tossed, but thought I'd give it a try.
  17. First thing is to check with local power company and have their arborist visit and see what needs to be done. If power line is in conflict with your trees, maybe they are responsible for cut and trim.

    Sea robins

Cool fish. Ya lern sumthin' knew every dey...
  19. More than likely owned by the company that installed the pipe. I would say no trespassing on their land, similar to you not wanting someone to trespass onto your land for whatever reason.

    Activism

I'll become more of an activist after my son is established in his career and I divorce my wife. I should have time then.
  21. I find it interesting how Trump has upset the apple cart this election year. I will be a little uneasy with my vote for Trump, but the alternative is less appealing. Seems to me that Mr. Trump will stand up and try to improve the country more so than the present edition of the congress that appears to sit on it's hands and cower to Osama...I mean Obama. Clearly the establishment is worried about their kingdom as presently set up. Maybe that's a good thing. We shall see.
