I chiseled the tips a little bit. I ran one into a rock last year just had to reshape no fold over they are great heads. That's some fancy cresting right there. Always makes for a beautiful arrow.

Ever since college I have never use an alarm and on days like this I fall asleep and 3 hours later I wake up thinking I am late. Hen every hour after. Makes for a long night!

I have carried milk weed in a film canister with an x cut in the top for years! It amazes me what the wind does. You can sit in you favorite stand with a bad wind on the ground get up in the tree and the wind is doing something totally different.

The thing I love is the attitude of baiters. I know a couple of people who put corn out " so they can watch the deer on stand" they say they don't do it to hunt over! I always look them straight in the eyes and say bullsnizzle, if a big buck walked out you would put it down. They just look at you like you punched them in the face.

I actually know someone who was shooting like this. He finally asked the question if why his arrows were flying terrible and not going far. Brought the bow over and we just stared at him. Kinda funny if you think about it. It takes all kinds!

Also you should wash your hunting clothes at least once a year. THe dirt that gets on them will break the materials down faster.

That's the truth ...Rob, I know guys who have every gadget they can afford and they get deer but not on a regular basis. Then you have the guys who hunt and camps hang there clothes inside and they smell of venison stew and eggs and bacon and come home with multiple deer a year. Some of the stuff works and help you be more comfortable but some of the stuff you look at and say what the hell is that for!!

You could go nuts washing drying sent killing etc. Does it all help who knows for sure but every little bit to fool a deer helps. I don't go overboard I wash all my clothes before season in borax and backing powder. Then let them hang dry outside. I sent kill them once they are dry and put them in a plastic container. Wear them and wash again when needed. If I need to quick dry I use non sented dryer sheets.

I have always shot for the the back of the ribs. Just like the middle one. If you pull one way or the other you still get vitals. One way both lungs and maybe the heart the other the liver and a lung. Can't go wrong.

Jeremyt by no means am I saying those shots can't be done or don't happen. Alot of guys are great shots out to 60 yards and hit the kill zone everytime. Deer will jump the string at 10 yard sometimes less. At 50 yards a deer could spin, jump, duck, dance, do the limbo by the time the arrow gets there.

That book is great to get you going. I bought it and it made me think about a few new things witch is good.

20 yards and under. After 20 yards shots can be done but alot can go wrong. One step and you are tracking! I will get Sh*# for this but guys shooting deer at 40 yards are just lucky and that luck will run out sooner or later.

If you really get into it and it doesn't run I would change the diaphragms in the carb. The ethanol dries them out and they don't work right. I have had to do it on my push mowers and it is very simple.

Do you see bear every year? I have had thenm on trail camera but have yet to see on in the woods!

I know a guy that just moved to WI and set up a bear bait he had some good pictures of bear. He always posts some dandy bucks from that state!

I will try this too, but my feet sweat and thats why they get cold. I always walk into stand and then change my socks works well.

I have my drone pilots license!! Yes thats a real thing!! The test you take is more aircraft oriented that drone. Crazy and the FAA doesn't fool around. There are alot of laws etc to fly one for a business.

You don't need to spend 800 on good truck glasses. I have a pair of leupold yosmites and hey are great small and great warrenty. I also bought a pair of vortex ones both were under 150 and both great glass. Of course if I had 80p to spend on binos I would too!!
