  1. http://www.sunrisesunset.com/USA/New_York.asp Thought this might be handy especially if your doing day runs.
  2. Having a blind is worth it yeah. They don't take alot of time to set up and fairly quiet - if your used to setting it up. Basicaly it's a mini tent. If you can blend it in it helps but deer will still notice it. That one you linked seems to have plenty of room to draw.
  3. For **** sake why doesn't he just get a Bow.
  4. The look on that buck's face 'somebody saw this damn thing off my head already i got a headache'
  5. Culvercreek; about 10 years ago I was 5 years active VFD where I lived. There was various funding, maybe it was grants I can't remember. For instance when the new firehouse was built, or equipment for the new alert pagers etc. And yes there was alot of mutual aid. Neigboring dept's would 'move-up' and cover calls if your trucks were out. Also back-ups for manpower durring the day etc. Onondoga Co. VFD's surrounding the Syracuse area are alot more active then some may think. One year my dept went out on about 900 calls, plenty of signal 80/79's (vehicle accidents) so we did alot of extracation drills with the jaws etc. Might sound alittle morbid but i kind of miss doing that.
  6. How much ammo? If it's just a box or two maybe someone you know has a press-puller/extractor. Well, for rifle rounds at least.
  7. If your on the ground & can get into a hedgerow or field edge stay in the shadows.
  8. I was feeling a bit burnt out myself, even closed up camp a week early. Maybe it's the warmish temps, maybe from processing a few other deer then mine. But I'm thinking by the time SZ Muzz gets here I'll feel the itch again.
  9. Sounds like it'll be worth the wait, waiting on some more work myself. Be sure to post up a pic. Just thinking if you use that fireplace wouldn't the extra heat damage a mount?
  10. Fairly certain carrying two different types of shells is a no no. Realise bushytails can be anoying and thick but personaly I wouldn't sacrifice my deer spot over them. Chipmonks are like mice when mast is down. Now Bowhunting, I took out 2 porcupines while in stand. Wouln't mind taking out some yotes either.
  11. While NZ is closed SZ late muzz isn't that far away. And I could enjoy a day or two with the smokepole, but yeah some snow on the ground would be good.
  12. Good hunting. Hope the knife turns up. I lost one early bow season, or I thought I did. Somehow it got under the steps by the camper.
  13. 96snake719 maybe next year do up a food plot or two if you have some clearings there.
  14. Seasons greetings & good fishing
  15. Cool pic & good hunting. So, - what happened to the kitten?
  16. Fancy calk gun One basic recipe or a base you can add to that has always worked for me; 3 parts soy 1 part worcestershire garlic salt & fine ground black pepper. And not to sound cheep but most of the time you can load up on that at dollar stores.
  17. Kinda neat. I'm thinking train it to pee in a bowl.
  18. I like those pics! He looks like he knows you want his pic
  19. Thing is I drive 104 east of 81 alot and see these buggies alot. Sometimes it's a small convoy of them. Alot of side roads are traveled and it's loaded with small hills in the happy vally area, it can get dark as heck with no moonlight. More then a few times I'm around a corner or over a hill and bam they are right there, dark black buggie, dark horse. One of these days someone isn't goin to be paying enough attention. I'd like to respect someones choice in how they want to live and all, I mean if they want to pray to a head of lettuce at home I don't care as long as they don't try and preach to me. But this is a safety issue on public roads.
  20. Wonder if something like that could weather ontop of an elevated platform? Looks like a turret

    Mount repair

Alright lets try this, got a cell pic of the damage. The ears feel to brittle to push back together and glue. Was thinking someone may have had this kind of thing repaired before.
