  1. Some of them but most fall to the tx22 pistol I’ve started carrying just for the purpose. I keep it in my Fanny pack until I’m headed to the truck then put it on the belt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I probably killed 30-35 of them while walking back to the truck last year in ADK’s and I ate everyone of them. If a ruffed grouse is what gets me i guess I had a good run. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. If you have to ask you’re probably not ok with it. I wouldn’t do it but I won’t do it for deer either. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. 1/16th inch pop rivet to the front of mag well. No need to over complicate it or over think it. If you ever decide to do something different you’ll never notice a 1/16” hole and it will not affect the guns function in any way! I have 2 that I did this way when I first moved back to NY, they still work perfectly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I’ve been playing with tss for about 5yrs both with factory and reloads. In my opinion tss isn’t worth it until you get down into 9 shot. Unles NY’s changed the law 9 shot is not legal in New York. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. They’re often together but I’m not sure they understand each other’s verbal communications like some think. I’ve killed lots of birds after deer blew at me and I’ve killed plenty of deer after turkeys putting at me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Long beards look like a winner with that new choke! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. All the more reason to build one from parts. If your bringing it somewhere put certain parts on it if it’s in the house leave certain parts on it etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I dont have to worry about that so didn’t think if it but Jb weld and 30 seconds and the flash hider is a non issue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. In 2 seconds on Google I found complete kits minus lowers for 350$ with free shipping, add a 40$ Anderson lower with free shipping on GB, 20$ transfer fee and your under 425$ and don’t have to give this sh!t hole state the tax money. That’s pretty close to 200$ in savings by my math. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I know the days of building them for 300$ are gone but I would imagine you could get one done for 450$ if building, you should be able to build one and put an optic on it for under 6 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. What prices are you finding local for a complete gun? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. If she managed to scope herself that bad with a scope with over 3” of eye relief she must be using her left eye shooting right handed. Unless you mount the scope very high she’ll still be burying her cheek in the stock uncomfortably hard to get a sight picture. Extended eye relief scopes tend to have a lot of parallax and I suspect she’ll struggle with this if she goes with a scout setup. From someone that has been through this being right handed and left eye dominant there are only 3 options. #1- use an eye patch, easiest and perfectly effective. I did this for a long time for bow hunting and had zero issues. #2- use a low preferably fixed power scope or red dot and teach her to shoot with both eyes open. This would be my last resort because it’s not a guarantee she’ll be able to do it. Depending on how dominant her left eye is she may not be able to do it. I can but it’s not fast or easy and I’ve practiced it AOT! #3- “and the best option imo” get her shooting left handed. I made this switch 20yrs ago and haven’t looked back. The only other viable option if she has a wood stock “it can be done with synthetic with a little glass work as well” is to start carving and dropping the comb to a comfortable point where she can get a “proper” cheekweld without having to crane her neck in an unnatural and unsafe position. 14. 300blk was designed for use with a suppressor. It’s not good for anything else aside from paper punching. Light for caliber bullets generally suck for killing med game and that’s the only option in the 300blk. Get an ar chambered in 223 wylde, then you can get cheap 5.56 for targets and quality 223 if you want to hunt with it. If you want to hunt deer with an ar15 it’s hard to beat the 350L or my personal favorite the 450BM. If you’re doing this on a budget I highly recommend building one! You’ll get a way better quality gun for less money than you can buy a complete entry level ar off the shelf. It’s VERY easy to build one and other than a 10$ barrel wrench no special tools are required. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. There is a huge difference between being able to make a Turkey noise on a diaphragm and being able to actually use a diaphragm! Although I call very little the only calls I carry is two diaphragms, one triple reed for louder calls and a double reed for when I need to get soft. Anyone can yelp loudly with a diaphragm it’s learning to purr/ putt etc. barely loud enough to hear that will put birds over your shoulder! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I’m left eye dominant and right handed. For everyone other than Jeff cooper a scout scope is a terrible idea! Get her shooting left handed using her left eye with a QUALITY scope with a generous eye relief and she’ll be killing critters in no time! A scout rifle was thought up by Jeff cooper to fill a very specific role in an age where scopes weren’t anywhere near what they are today! That role wasn’t/isn’t the deer woods and it’s argued by many if it’s even good for the role it was intended for. Jeff cooper is a bit of a hero of mine and a firearms god, the scout rifle concept was one of his few misses in the conceptual firearms world. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I own one in 30-06 and have a 308 barrel for it. 30-06’s don’t recoil much so I never noticed a difference between the R1 or my Remington or browning autos. The R1 is the least accurate one I own but still plenty good for deer hunting. I cut the 30-06 barrel down to 18” and it helped some with the accuracy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Ice is getting sketchy have to get it in while we still can! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Military aged males weren’t affected by Covid. Unlike you and the other brain washed lefties Putin was well aware of the science. Why would Putin do anything while all the world powers were destroying themselves from within? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Absolutely not, the left won’t do anything for them. If they were a guaranteed vote they’d already be here! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. The worst part about it for me is how many Americans would just let it happen here, including many on this site. We are who we are as a world power because we’ve got a pretty good reputation of being well armed and have some sand. Problem is I don’t think we stand up to our reputation anymore…. 22. This is the most idiotic article I’ve wasted time on reading in a long time! If 10 members on this site can walk out with their compound and shoot a 3” group at 50yds I would be shocked! Every member could do it with an Xbow Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. If that were true I would have zero hard feelings for you but unfortunately like most things you say it’s simply not true! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. The irony in the fact that you supported ruining others lives to protect you from an illness you’re not even sure you have is sickening! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. I use 3-4 gallons of syrup a year. I don’t use sugar for anything, it’s always maple syrup. I use it in cooking, baking and my coffee. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
